Yeah, he's a goon - he'd likely destroy all non-goons.Bauer would destroy him. Pound for pound, Stanley is one of the worst fighters I've ever seen.
Stan will fight (when most won't) but he's not a goon

Stan, though could destroy Heinola, fleury in a fight, not sure what it would prove.Yeah, he's a goon - he'd likely destroy all non-goons.

Maybe that's my problem...It's like he's mislabelled his bottles of pre-workout and sleepy time tea.
Bauer is one of the best fighters in Pro hockeyBauer would destroy him. Pound for pound, Stanley is one of the worst fighters I've ever seen.
Which doesn't really translate into an NHL career. I mean Rempe got the call, and those two are former teammates, but it's more for entertainment than results. Reaves hardly plays anymore, because he's too slow. Olivier, Xhekaj, Deslauriers those guys are in the East. Hathaway. Matt Martin is still around, Kurtis Macdiamermid. Dillon going East has got him in a few more scraps than last year. Tom Wilson is a different breed because he can play hockey. Score goals. Olivier has potted 6 I believe this year, so he's got some finish.Bauer is one of the best fighters in Pro hockey
I mean if he destroyed Heinola and Fleury it would open up a roster spot for him ;PStan, though could destroy Heinola, fleury in a fight, not sure what it would prove.
Nope my new day resolution is not to bother defending Stan when ppl just want to jump on him.
Yeah, pity that the only skill Stan has going for him is his fighting.
The jets are not in a development stage. They are just going to through out the most developed guys for next 3 years and if that leaves them at bottom afterwards at least they have made the most of Helly’s window.i supported the Stanley project cause he was RFA but now I checked he will be UFA after 2026 It’s time to let go. He has not shown much progress still a 6/7 D I think give Ville ice time on LD side and let’s see if he develops
He doesn't know how to fight...Yeah, pity that the only skill Stan has going for him is his fighting.
Agreed. This is probably the time in our 2.0 history where there is the least amount of developmental opportunity for prospects. The jets are not in a development stage. Yep that’s why they have Heinola. He doesn't know how to fight...

He's more than a fighter. How is being soft working out for us in the playoffs?Which doesn't really translate into an NHL career. In the West, other than Jeannot and Lomberg I can't think of anyone who stirs the pot and then backs it up. Neither are in our division. In fact the Central division probably has the lowest amount of fighting majors out of all of them.
Stanley has 2 fights this year. Lowry has 2. KC has 1. Pionk has 1. Iafallo has 1. Gus has 1? Scheif hugged Ekblad. Only Lowry's is against a Conference/divisional opponent.
When you have the best PP in the league, that deters people from going over the edge against you.
Stanley might have to fight Jeannot tonight, depends on who controls the puck and the pace. They've gone before.
But most of the game will be hockey.
I don't know if the lesson we needed to learn from last year's playoffs is that we need Tyrel Bauer in the lineup. He's more than a fighter. How is being soft working out for us in the playoffs?
He only could've helped that messI don't know if the lesson we needed to learn from last year's playoffs is that we need Tyrel Bauer in the lineup.
Toughness doesn't necessarily mean fighting outright. Almost every team that ended up winning the cup added toughness that season. Tampa added maroon and bogo before winning, panthers added gudas, Bennet etc. I remember the pens added Derek engellend last cup they had. Avs added McDermott, Manson.idk how people come to the determination from watching the POs vs COL and think the Jets need more fighters.
The Jets are definitely too soft. They look like they don't want to have anything to do with contact. I don't know if guys are hurt but they peel away from throwing hits. I think Ehlers threw their biggest hit of the night.Toughness doesn't necessarily mean fighting outright. Almost every team that ended up winning the cup added toughness that season. Jets are too soft. Playoffs are a grind and insanely physical.
We were successful in 2017 because we were a really big physical team.
Nope. And don’t want to see Stanley up against them either.Does anyone want to seriously see Bauer up against somebody like McKinnon or McDavid?
To be fair, outside of Morrissey is don't want to see anyone against Mackinnon. That guy is otherworldly. He scares me more than McDavidNope. And don’t want to see Stanley up against them either.

I'd say sick Pionk on him considering the work he does with McDavid but I find Mackinnon to be way more aggressive and heavy with the way he attacks. He's simply a beast.Yup he scared me more than McDavid too and that is saying allot.
We weren’t alone. Last season he had 140 points and terrorized the league. After tonight he will probably be at 70 points 2 games past the half way point of the season. We don’t have any answers for him but nobody else does either. Thank god it’s a team game.![]()
