"Keep your expectations low and avoid disappointment". The last thirty years of being a Habs fan.
More than half of that was without a superstar. Gainey has something going and then went off the deep end (understandably when he lost his daughter) and then MB destroyed what he’s left him.

I feel good about the future. We’ve got future stars in the lineup and on the way. Heads up brother. We’re on our way.

We have a word for that....masochist.

Sadly, only our egos will be stroked...but our win-loss column will have a stroke.
why not us?

why not a pairing that just works in sync for a change? They had chemistry in Laval last year.

as a fan base we’ve paid our dues with shitty luck for too long.
Go Rocket
Cheers

We can't have pretty things like Laffs do. We have to have ugly, dirty, cringy players that steal other peoples lunches and put itch powder in Booins jock straps.

It's karma after half a century of strutting around like we owned the joint.

Pray with me...

(and oh yes, the pairing. Mailman played 20 game over 3 years and X was a recent addition to post puberty hockey. Both need a lot more seasoning to make plays at an instinctive level. I could literally see Mailman making decisions on the fly instead of reacting. It's just a short time issue.)

In another Habs forum i had a friend who was an aspiring writer. Being competitive to a sad degree, there was no way i was going to let his post paintings go unchallanged...and the war of word brushings was on!

Sadly, he stopped posting (i call it surrender). I miss him, but i still brush a stroke or two. Mostly to amuse myself...
Sounds like you both had a lot of fun with the creative exchanges! All good things . . . , right?

Players getting crunched on the boards happens every game and there's always a high risk of injury as a result. Maybe making the boards out of silly putty. That way our guys could play more than 10 games a season.

He may not be ready but there are current "NHL" Dmen on the current roster who are no better.
It is nice to have his offensive threat.

We'll see how long it will take him to figure certain things out defensively, such as the errant passes.

Funny but I trust him more than I do Barron...but that's just me.

I haven't seen the game yet but I went over to the NHL site and looked at the stats.

This is what I wrote on another site....

Hutson and Mailman were paired and then paired with the first line. WOW. I don't know how well they played yet but was suprised that Marty put our two least experienced together. People forget that Mailman missed 3 seasons of development. Basically we got a 17 year old equivilant defenseman playing 19 minutes.
