GDT: Lockout is over

Real_ESPNLeBrun: NHL is proposing April 5 trade deadline regardless of start date. But NHLPA and NHL still haven't agreed on critical dates. So we'll see ...

How much? I figured they wouldn't make CI free after LeBrun's tweet a few days ago :( I hope they can at least make the internet streaming (Gamecenter) free.

Looks like about 40$.

Actually scratch that. It was a different charge. Haven't been charged for ci yet.

They won't make it free, that's just silly. It'll be discounted tho. No sense missing out on sure money.

NHL pushing speedy process.NHLPA lawyers will be 110% sure the language that goes to paper accurately reflects what they agreed to. #TSN

Never ends, does it? Looks like we're getting 48 games then.

Oh it is so good to be back. I was expecting a GIF party, but everyone is already right back to work with lineups haha.

Need to get a fresh glass of Lou-aid, sure he will hobble something together. Is Adam expected to miss about the first two weeks?

I think we'll get 50. Makes the most sense schedule and money wise. They can figure it out.

I don't blame them. That's true for any business deal anyone agrees to. Of course you make sure the document reflects your agreement 100%. You would be a pretty stupid if you just sign a document without analyzing the entire thing.

So we're basically an internet-forum model of the Devils' organization.

Lou drafted very well. He build built the model forum. Tons of depth. Not many Superstar acquisitions very made . The only acquisition was Rhodes from ATL . They rest was all built up through the draft.

Would a gif party have been necessary?

Ideally we would be celebrating the end of stupidity that should not have gone on for as long as it did

Yeah I'm happy and pissed all at once. If they would have sat down and kept hammering at it instead of walking away it could have been done a long time ago.

It feels great to come back to this board for a reason now.

This.

I have barely spent any time here because of this lockout crap. Now that its behind us I'm really looking forward to coming here and talking hockey and seeing all fellow devils fans opinions.

Looking forward to it even though its a shortened season, every game matters.

With 2 kids closing in on college..food up..gas @ 340 gal and going up..paycheck down 150 mo. with tax increase leaves little money to spend on owners and players who argue over splitting up billion of dollars. I think one thing lost in this is everyone feels revenues will continue to rise. With salaries stagnant ,cost of living rising and the sticker shock that will be our new progressive society it will make it more and more difficult to find discretionary spending money. For many under 25 on this board it may not matter as much as the Devils may be their first choice to spend that money on and their expenses are few except for themselves. For others those nights at the Rock will become tougher to justify and fewer and fewer in number, This is coming from someone who had full season tix from 1988-2009. Guess we shall see.

It'd be awesome to get season tickets some day down the road. I'll stick with stocking up my roth for now.
