the difference with Vegas is they have large puck moving defensemen on every pair. none of our guys move the puck well or score then we wonder why our offense dries up in the playoffs
I thought Benoit and McCabe were fine moving the puck this series.

They rewarded players before they earned success. Now it is clean up time (we hope), though I've thought this for three years.

Before Dubas left he probably told Keefe that if things don't work out in Toronto that he'd love to have him (coaching) in Pittsburgh. Might explain why Sullivan hasn't been fired yet...keeping him around until Keefe might be available.

You can bet he's going to be a Penguin
They too need a coach and Dubas relationship with Keefe is a strong appeal for the Pens

They would have fired Sullivan long time ago. They want to make sure they had the replacement confirmed

So whats the excuse for us having such a pathetic powerplay in the playoffs?

Since Keefe has been in charge, our powerplay in the playoffs sits at like 15% while other teams like EDM, COL, BOS are anywhere from 28 to 34%.

I not going to knock Marner over his interview , i knew what he meant even though he didn't articulate it well .

Marner's biggest problem is he takes it too personally , he feels he needs to deliver every night and when things don't go his way it starts to snowball , being saddled with JT to try to make his corpse useful didn't help .

But he also gets paid 10.893mil, he really shouldn’t need anyone to prop him up.

We should start calling him Phobos. The Greek God of fear and panic.
If anything, all of them are Apollos, given everything but always come up short. We need more Hercules, whom will grind and tough it out when the going gets tough. lol.

This entire team shows with words and actions that:

They really don’t care about losing. No anger, not one comment of “I have to be better.

They care more about sticking up for buddies.

They think they are “right there”. Beyond delusional.

nope he shouldn't but he also shouldn't be expected to carry an anchor in the playoffs against a quality defensive team like the Bruins either

cool but Willie is more a duel threat while Mitch is more a playmaker and neither should be saddled with trying to carry JT

also neither made JT useful
And to me that’s the problem.
MM needs another player to make him useful due to being a playmaker.
Anyhow, MM just needs to be better bc playing with JT or not, he was bad in the playoffs.

Just watched that Keefe interview, that’s a tough one, sounds like they already told him he’s going to be fired.
Even if they didn’t, do you honestly think Keefe would think he is coming back?

> Marner.

He has to go.

He hates it here. He needs to leave.

One thing is clear:

If Marner is resigned, it isn't about winning or the fans.

Most teams do that by the way.

Do you think Buffalo only has ELCs and league minimum contracts?

Regular season is where most people earn their contract, hate to break it to you.

Also, Benoit and McCabe are fine... but they are below average/average at best.

Edmundson and Lub are some of the worst.
