Center is a major area of concern in the system. The Habs have no choice but to take at least 3 centres with their 4 picks in the first 3 rounds.

They should also go out and sign Tyler Boland and get Jake Evans under contract.

Hope Bitten has a real breakout campaign.




Sacrifice a chicken and pray to the gods that one of these six players develops into a top 6 centre, and that somehow Julien fixes Chucky and makes him a top centre.

Sign Shipachyov as a stop gap.

First: don't deal your best assets, at least no 1st or second rounders:
Scout better, starting in your own backyard- the Q - where there is tremendous offensive potential left to dry. Even a Connor Brown (OHL) or a Brayden Point (WHL) would had made sense.

This same negiotiating strategy would have proven to be invaluable in aquiring a top C via trade. After all, as we all know, desperation is the key element to any succesfull hockey trade.

- And most importantly, by making such statement, Bergevin would provide an emotional satisfaction to people on hockey message boards across the world, proving that he is in fact a competent hockey executive and not a moron.

No, no it's not jaffy.

It's been 5 years and he has not gotten it done. He hasn't used a top 60 pick on a center since 2012, where he was on the job for barely two months.

He truly believes this and all his conferences, conversations, actions, trades, signings, etc. lead this to be true.

If it walks, quacks and talks like a duck. It's a goddamn duck. If you think the Duck thinks anything different than its words, behaviours and actions, you're dreaming.
