Morning lounge .. A great feeling waking up after a Leafs win  Hockey is back

Today's agenda: Hockey, Football

And Lupul got extended, for a good price too .. It's a risk because of his injury history and stuff, but it's a good risk IMO

He's average at best. But he goes balls to the wall every shift which makes him look better than he actually is.

Way I see it as well.

I like Grabo but I don't like his contract. Too high of a caphit and too long. 5 yrs would be ok if it was a 1-1.5 mil less.

I can kind of understand the caphit though because the free agent market for centers was ****ing brutal that summer and good centers are harder to find, but if you're going to give that much money then do a shorter contract IMO.

Agreed with this too.

Grant, how many times you gotta post how you're winning like 10-0 or 9-0 or w/e after one day?

Has bad karma written all over it.

i know....both goalies dont know whats going on now....it just confussed them more....just trade him...im happy that they said they dont want to include kadri, hes looking great....

No kidding, let Vancouver suffer with this goaltending controversy for this season

Scrivens looked solid last night, and I like the idea of seeing what he and Reims can do in a short season .. 48 games, 24 each in theory gives a good window to see who would be a capable starter going forward

Pretty hard for a goalie to get in a groove if they don't get to start in multiple games in a row though. I'm hoping one of the 2 takes the starting job and runs with it. One of them playing 60-65% of the games would be ideal IMO.

Scrivens made me pretty nervous last night. I just want him to stay in his damn net and stop going on adventures. He plays best when he plays a simple game.

He was shaky at first, but settled down for the most part afterwards

He was letting the puck get away a little bit, but if he can get a handle on that and keep his rebounds controlled he'll be solid .. I think last night will be a huge confidence boost for him

I have vanek in my keeper league, he just had a 5 ****ing point game!

I have him as well. Had him for a couple seasons and he's honestly such a tease lol. Usually starts well then goes into slumps. Glad he had a good game though :)

If he goes on a tear for the next 5-10 games I might trade him to somebody+ one of my other high scoring D for an improvement on Vanek. I currently have Vanek as a keeper but if I can get a better winger than him I will.
