Don’t even understand that logic at all. There’s not a goalie in the league that stays stuck to the opposite post when the pass is moving in the opposite direction.

First of all secure a spot lol. Second who cares who we play???? If we want to go far we play vegas anyway. Don't get in the habit if choosing who you want to Play because that bites you in the ass. It’s never a terrible shot when it’s an on net one timer with a preceding cross crease pass. The danger happens before the shot even happens.

His slide was improper, yes. The shot surprised him because he didn’t identify DeBrincat as a shooter when scanning the zone.

Hence the awkwardness. If he didn’t move and DeBrincat had a better release he definitely gets beat. The analysis on the goal needs to be that he needs to be more aware of shooting threats during the PK.
