There were a lot of mistakes but at the end of the day... the goalie literally had to hug his post and wait three seconds. That's it. That's all.

And the “funny” thing is that Skinner chased Smith and Smith still managed to get the puck by him.

After watching the sequence several times, yes, you may be right. Just terrible luck on Draisaitl. The whole sequence is a comedy of errors for the entire team. You can't let that happen with 10s to play.

What a class post. Its rare that people will look at a play again and re-evaluate and come here to say it.

But yeah the Oilers have been allowing too much in zone these last couple games. Seemed anytime Karlson was on the ice he was carving out open ice spots and waiting to set up plays. he was the best KNight tonight.

For people (not you) blaming Drai how would like to be a Vegas fan and having Hertyl, Barbashev, do jack nothing the whole series and have Eichel who almost never scores goals in playoffs.

We're lucky to have the two best players on Earth and Booch overall was solid tonight too. He was erasing Eichel from the game all night.

Vegas was far better last game, a Pickard start and they cruise to a win.

They cannot win this series with Stu in goal.

Literally if Pickard didn't win 70% of his games and we had Skinner level goaltending in the regular season, we don't make it to the f***ing playoffs with his win percentage.

I dunno. We seem to blame our superstars intead of an org that didn't address the goaltending which was the real story tonight. Starting from the first Vegas goal the Oilers were shaking their heads and McD did. They knew they were in a dogfight becuase of the doofus in net. Once again you need 5 goals to win if Skins is in net.

1000% Drive. Let’s blame McDavid or Drai instead of management for their undeniable infatuation with Fat Ass. All 4 goals were stoppable.

He was a main culprit on three GAs tonight. Stripped by Kolesar on the first. Poor puck management and a bad change on the third. And finally the mess of a final shift on the GWG. He was trying to do too much tonight and he was playing right into Vegas' defensive shell.

They absolutely were not, they killed themselves to allow as little as possible at their net. They played like they have NO trust in Stu.

Skinner is who he is, maybe a backup goalie. But that shot at the end wasn't even going in. Draisaitl literally scored on his own net with .4 seconds left to lose the game. It's that simple this time around.

Draisaitl had maybe the worst game I've seen him play as an Oiler, and he single-handedly opened the door for Vegas to get back into the series. Unconscionable effort from him.
