Post-Game Talk: Literally shooting yourself in the foot

I shouldn't care, as most of the post game stuff is just fluff, but man Skinner's always piss me off. Guy never takes accountability for anything, not even like yeah goal 1 was bad and I shouldn't be letter that in. He sounded like even he knew he was done though, and I hope to god he is and that Pickard can go on Monday

I may be wrong but I'm sitting here half cut and know in my bones our journeyman back up wins us this one. Not replacing Skinner with a professional goalie at the trade deadline is a failure. Well, not replacing him at any point in the last 3 years is a failure. He isn't that guy and he never was that guy....Picks better get his ass back asap.
I wanted us to just get any NHl goalie at the trade deadline. Even just as insurance if Skinner or Pickard get injured. Right now any option is better then Skinner, even Rodrigue.

After watching the sequence several times, yes, you may be right. Just terrible luck on Draisaitl. The whole sequence is a comedy of errors for the entire team. You can't let that happen with 10s to play.
If Nurse gets his stick on the puck behind the net, we're in OT. Instead he goes for the hit.

It's why he sucks.

If Calvin remains out, this is likely end of the run.
It doesn’t look like this team is capable of winning a game with Skinner in the net so how could it not be.

This was a disturbing game tonight. The team came out flying early, took a 2-0 lead then had to adjust their game plan because Skinner couldn’t make the saves Pickard’s been making to bail them out when they made mistakes. After that we saw a very conservative game from the Oilers to try and limit chances against. Very little offensive push the rest of the game until 3 minutes left in the third period.

Whatever confidence they may have had left in Skinner was crushed again with that winning goal where he’s wondering out of his net in the final seconds Instead of just standing his ground. Never mind that he kept the game close. Vegas had the lead, they weren’t desperate to score another one. The issue again is he imploded when the game was on the line and the other team was desperately trying to score. He did it in the first period when the Oilers had the lead and he did it late when the game was tied. I keep saying it and I’ll say it again. Stuart Skinner is unplayable.

Would you want this guy back stopping you. Pathetic. Rodrigue or Pickard must play.

Stuart, where are you in this shot? Can you point out where you are and where you should have been?

Knobby masterclass, just like LA g1. Let's throw the guys that were playing for 4 straight minutes back on to the ice so they can blow it again. Guy blew it again
I was wondering this as well. Drai was having a tough game, why was he out there? I’m not blaming him but at some point you need to recognize that a game that should be going to OT, you need to manage your bench better.

There were a lot of mistakes but at the end of the day... the goalie literally had to hug his post and wait three seconds. That's it. That's all.
