He scored Friday on a backhand in the slot off a rebound:

He was off the Frederic line, lined up on RW with Malone and Zimmer this weekend.

Haven't gone to find out why he got a misconduct off a faceoff. He's got a PPG, doesn't look like he is on Frederic's wing again tonight.

Great job preventing a late ENG after he and one of the Badger defensemen got crossed up behind the net.

Sweet retrieval in the slot, curls back toward the Michigan blueline, snaps one in on net that leaves a rebound and it's tied. Nice assist.

Just picked up another assist on a pass to Frederic. Have to be absolutely thrilled with his production as a freshman. It's no fluke either, he has a legit offensive skillset.

Has some nice stats in college. What is this kids ceiling?

Ceiling? That’s a good question. Given his age and size, I’d like to see him improve on what he’s done in his freshman season over the course of next year and then maybe even a year past that. He’s an offense-only guy. He’s not out there on the PK he’s not out there in the last minute defending a lead. But he is extremely creative, has a nice collection of skills that one would expect of a small, scoring winger. Wisconsin have used him on both sides, initially on the left wing with Frederic in the middle and more recently on right wing away from Frederic. Second line scorer-playmaker is probably the ultimate long term dream.

With Wagner and Frederic both turning pro, Linus is the highest scoring returning player for the Badgers for next season. I haven't looked much at their commits to see if he's going to have anyone the caliber of Frederic to play off.

Defensive crop: Emberson, Miller, Krygier, etc.

Weissbach returned to the lineup on December 7th and picked up three assists that weekend vs Michigan State. That's points in seven straight for 11 points through 8 GP. He missed 10 GP with that right hand injury as the team "slowly worked him back into practice drills." UW had a 2-5-3 record and 4-for-39 PP without him.
