Lines when healthy

GR tweeted lines and they had Hubs with Barkov and Boyes

Also confirmed by Sun Sentinel on Rotoworld! Wanted this line since Boyes came to camp:yo: I still say other line is 1A line, but whatever small grapes. Pumped to see them together and KEEP Flash-Steeg chemistry together with new centreman.

I would rather have Gomez's speed/passing ability or Matthias size/boardwork over Goc on that Flash-Steeg line, but I guess KD figures Goc's defensive play is better served here.

Gomez ain't fast no mo--

I wonder how long till Kopecky is on the kid line to take some of the hits for that line kinda protect em. Not fight but.. take the heat ;)

Fleischmann Goc Versteeg
Huberdeau Barkov Kopecky
Upshall Matthias Boyes
Winchester Gomez Shore

Although if Upshall can get into his 20-30 goal form Id love him with the kids

Good thinking Mogo.. a line of huberdeau/barkov/boyes can be roughed up fairly easily by bigger grinders on the other team. Upshall is an enigma. If he isn't injured, he isn't doing much of anything on the ice, but every now and then he has some ridiculously nice snipe -- he's definitely a hitchhiker on any line in my opinion, but if he can finish passes from Barkov or hubey, that'd be excellent while doing some work in the corners.

I like your top 6 better than any ive seen on here. Havent seen bergy in anyone's lines either. Is he really still hurt?

Thanks for liking my top six! My original post is on page 12 of this thread.

When I posted Boyes/Barkov/Huber together it really made sense so I was actually surprised it hadn't been mentioned before.

I really like this team, and Im beginning to think that we will be able to score some goals. Of course, the main concern is health, but if we can somehow stay away from leading the league in man games lost, I like our chances to at least compete for one of the WC spots. I think Huby is going to have a Tavares-like effect on Boyes, and when Bergy gets back, we should have three lines capable of putting up points. I think Marky and Thomas will keep us in most games, and with a tandem like that, anything is possible. And who knows what Tallon will be able to do at the deadline, considering he has a bit more freedom, financially.

Does anyone else not like the idea of Shore playing wing on the 4th line? Id rather send him to San Antonio for top 6 minutes and play Barch here.

I'm not a fan of it but I understand why. He needs to prove he's better than 4th line (which I believe he will). It also doesn't put as much pressure on him. He will make that 4th line look really good.

I believe he was talking to me;) I was one of the first to say " Boyes in the Top 6, or no point in signing him".

I also want Bergy (when healthy) on a 3rd line with Goc and Kopecky. Goc seems to have beat out Matthias for 1st line though. Someone mentioned Upshall on a Huberdeau-Barkov line...that might work for short term solution.
