Lines when healthy

IMO:

Flash-Matthias-Versteeg
Huberdeau-Barkov-Boyes
Upshall/Bergie-Goc-Kopecky
Barch/Upshall-Gomez-Winchester

Campbell-Gudbranson
Kulikov-Gilbert
Whitney-Weaver

Like Shore in there somewhere.. 3rd or 4th line.

I like your top 6 better than any ive seen on here. Havent seen bergy in anyone's lines either. Is he really still hurt?

I have a hard time seeing any lineup without Shore in it. Kid has a two-way deal is waiver exempt. Why have him sit in the pressbox when he could be playing every night in SA.

That doesn't even take into consideration that I think he's a better player than quite a few guys on the roster.

and that's after the recent signings :shakehead

Let them hate.. They always have and probably always will. Weren't most experts saying we would finish near bottom of the league that year we won the division too?
Point is, speculating is just that: speculation.
We will see how injuries will strike us this year, who we acquire during the season and what magic can be created with what we have. We weren't a bad team going in to last season, but injuries were ridiculous for us, causing us to ice half of SA Rampage rather than our panthers.

I am optimistic this year!

Looking for info for my pool ...

1) Who will get most PP time - Kulikov or Gudbranson

2) Which of the above 2 players could have a breakout year, say 40 pts ...

Thanks in advance for any comments

PS - I hate to admit it but I am a Flames fan

1) Both will see time on 2nd PP unit...Kulikov will have more at the end of the day though
2) Kulikov has potential to put up 40 pts if he stays healthy...Gudbranson isn't really relied on much for offensive output, but he could hit 20-25 pts, which would be pretty solid for a dman like him.

Just curious why you say 2nd PP unit

I assumed one of them would be on the 1st PP unit with Campbell and I thought it would be Kulikov

Based on pre-season, I think Gilbert will get first look with Campbell on the 1st unit. Kulikov is probably next in line though.

What are our expectations for boyes if he is playing on a line with hub and barkie? Could he score 30 and pot 20 dimes?

First we gotta see if they stay together more than 1 practice session before making any predictions

GR tweeted lines and they had Hubs with Barkov and Boyes

This has to be "the boys line".... too easy.

Yeah it seems this will be our lineup to start the season:

Fleischmann Goc Versteeg
Huberdeau Barkov Boyes
Winchester Matthias Kopecky
Upshall Gomez Shore

Campbell Gilbert
Kulikov Gudbranson
Whitney Weaver

Thomas
Markstrom

Bench: Gilroy, Barch, Crabb

I must admit this team's looking so much better than it did a month ago, haters be damned.

I wonder how long till Kopecky is on the kid line to take some of the hits for that line kinda protect em. Not fight but.. take the heat ;)

Fleischmann Goc Versteeg
Huberdeau Barkov Kopecky
Upshall Matthias Boyes
Winchester Gomez Shore

Although if Upshall can get into his 20-30 goal form Id love him with the kids

Our bottom 6 could possibly be one of the best in the NHL if all of the players live up to their expectations and stay healthy. Our defensive pairings are pretty damn solid, I think that the guys on the blue line can put up a lot of points, I see a lot of offensive coming from the blue line this season. Our goaltending tandem could also be one of the top-5 in the NHL. If Thomas can stay somewhat close to his Vezina performances and Markstrom can put up good numbers like he has in the past we are a playoff bubble team. Our top 6 could use some tweaking, obviously a top line center would help, but eventually Barkov will probably take that role anyways.

I like these lines. There are a lot of good variations. Hopefully Dineen finds chemistry early on.

I'll tell you one thing about this team right now. We will be successful. The difference between this team and 2 years ago is the skill level. We didn't have the skill full players like Barkov, Boyes, Huby, hell even Gomez. But guess what? This team still has the hard work and grit that made us successful 2 years ago. In my opinion the most underrated player is 2011-2012 was John Madden he was a warrior every night. I've always said this about the team 2 years ago. The success didn't surprise me, what surprised and still surprises me today was how that team battled and worked hard every night.

Yeah I like those lines too, Kopy adding some grit on that line with the kids. That's whats cool about this lineup that there are a few interchangable parts.

where is the article on Trocheck going to AHL? haven't seen it official yet. Sucks, wanted to see the kid Thursday night.

The title of this thread should be, "When Will the Lines be Healthy?"

another question:

Is it a known thing that Barkov will be centering w Huby on the wing? is that set in stone or is that subject to change? This question is for opening night on Thursday. Thanks

It could change by opening night, Dineen said they are not set in stone.
