Isn't VCR the thing they keep having proposals about over on the trade board?

I believe Toronto has one as well

Here's my breakdown:
It's 100% guaranteed that Johansen will center the top line and Bobrovsky will be the starting goalie.

The rest is relatively uncertain. I feel there's a 90% chance that Foligno plays with Johansen on the top line and a 90% chance that Hartnell plays on Wennberg's wing. I feel there's an 85% chance that Savard and Johnson are together (10% chance that Savard is with Murray, 5% chance that Johnson is with Murray).

Here's my breakdown:

Saad - Johansen - Foligno
Dubinsky - Jenner - Atkinson <- Jenner/Dubinsky are swappable
Hartnell - Wennberg - Clarkson
Calvert - Campbell - Bourque
Boll

Johnson - Savard
Murray - Connauton
Tyutin - Goloubef
Prout

Bobrovsky
McElhinney

Injury Call-Ups:
1st Center out call-up = Karlsson
2nd Center out call-up = Chaput

1st Winger out call-up = Rychel
2nd Winger out call-up = Anderson
3rd Winger out call-up = Bjorkstrand

1st Defensive call-up = Paliotta
2nd Defensive call-up = Falk
3rd Defensive call-up = Madaisky

Goalie call-up = Korpisalo

spelled Forsberg wrong

other than that...I think Hartnell - Wennberg - Atkinson will be a line and Jenner - Dubi - Clarkson will...but that is minor and both versions will happen in the first 5 games

Notes: Stick the most productive forwards on line 1, plug Jenner into the hole on the father-son line, reunite 11-17-13 and put the elders together on line 4.

As long as Campbell doesn't get hurt, if one of Joey/Dubinsky/Wennberg gets hurt I truly believe instead of moving Campbell up to the 3rd line (where he doesn't fit ) that they'll have either Jenner or Foligno move to C and call up a wing instead. So let's say Dubinsky gets hurt again. Would you rather

Saad-Johansen-Atkinson
Foligno-Jenner-Hartnell
Calvert-Wennberg-Rychel/Anderson/Bjorkstrand/Milano
Borque-Campbell-Clarkson

Or

Saad-Johansen-Atkinson
Foligno-Wennberg-Jenner
Calvert-Campbell-Hartnell
Borque-Chaput/Karlsson-Clarkson

Option 1 def. I don't think Campbell ever moves off Line 4 (unless he's HS or hurt) even in games if guys get hurt. As mentioned, Jenner and Foligno can move to C and Joey can handle alot of minutes.

Exactly, I mean I GUESS they could keep Campbell on the 4th and let one of Karlsson or Chaput center the 3rd and let them take on more of offensive role. But id feel much safer with Foligno or Jenner.

One thing we can say about the CBJ potential lines is that we'll have balance. We have speed, skill, forechecking ability and 2-way play throughout the lineup. I still don't feel the CBJ will adhere to the "hockey line" sense that has been passed on through history. The only separation is a 4th line that should be dedicated to annoyance and checking but it's still likely to have Calvert (potential 20 g scorer if higher in lineup) and possibly Borque.

Should be our best year yet - on paper. Regardless of lines up front, the defense needs to step forward and Bob needs to be more consistent. Minimize the injuries and this should fall in line as well. If we can come out of camp healthy, a good start to the season will go a long way to changing the fortunes from "on paper" to on the ice!

Let's get it on!

I'm curious to see how the new routine helps Bob. Less over training should be really good for his body

This.

I've seen a handful of different combos I liked. I was going to come up with my own or just quote a bunch and say why I liked each, but in the end it matters little. The point is that the staff has viable options to set a lineup.

Really like these forward lines, but the defensive lines are messed up. Tyutin is third pairing, not first, and Cody has taken significant steps over Prout.

Probably something along the lines of:

Johnson - Savard
Murray - Cody
Tyutin - Cotton
Prout

It's a pretty slow Friday at the office, so here is my take/ramble:

Definitely want to see what Bob can do this year. I really believe the bigger, faster and stronger Bob can cover for what a lot of us believe to be a somewhat suspect defense.

The offense will take care of itself with whatever lines end up being. I really think it will be a top 5 or at least a top 10 offense.

Its going to come down to whether Bob can have another healthy, Vezina worthy year. If that's the case, I think we're most definitely an Eastern Conference contender.

Saad - Johansen - Atkinson
Jenner - Dubinsky - Foligno
Hartnell - Wennberg - Borque (Ribeiro esque revival?)
Calvert - Campbell - Clarkson

So many options, considering most of the forwards can comfortably move around in the lineup if needed. Sucks not having any place for the rooks, I would LOVE to slot Rychel/Bjorkstrand in Borque's spot. I don't see it happening though. Camp will decide obviously.

Johnson - Savard
Murray-Tyutin
Connauton - Prout/Golobuef

I truly think our defense will be solid. Not great, not terrible. Middle of the road, which I think will look more stable this year to these 3 key factors:

1) Bounce back year from Tyuts. He's only going to be 32, and while he does have a lot of miles on him, I think really think he would benefit from playing with...

2) A healthy Ryan Murray. Not much to be said honestly. It sounds weird but its a contract year for him. Murray is my biggest concern with this team honestly, as I'm sure it is with a lot of others. This is the year to shake the reputation as being injury prone.

3) BOB

This rant was a mix of thoughts from Captain Obvious and a hopeless homer.

Here is something out of the ordinary and a little unorthodox compared to what has been proposed so far for the forwards

Line 1: Jenner-Johansen-Atkinson
Line 2: Hartnell-Wennberg-Saad
Line 3: Calvert-Dubinsky-Foligno
Line 4: Bourque/Rychel-Campbell-Clarkson

-Line 1 showed some chemistry towards the end of the season, and Cam's statistical output is maximized when he is put on a line with Joey. If his numbers aren't where they should be, flip him with Foligno or Saad. I love Joey and Jenner paired together.

-Over the final 15-1-1 run, Wennberg's minutes increased to 18 minutes/game (which was second to Johansen). This is where his game improved greatly. Even though some may argue it was because of the emergence of Dano, pairing him up with Hartnell (who was with him for the second half of the season when the 43-41-56 line was dynamite) as well as with Saad could really skyrocket Wennberg's numbers offensively. This is also a very responsible two-way line with a pair of finishers and a puck distributer.

-Again over the final stretch of the season, Foligno was split up from Johansen and played on a line with Dubinsky and Anisimov. Arguably, this was the Jackets' best line. Keeping Foligno and Dubinsky together, as well as adding Calvert's energy and peskiness to their line, would serve as a dynamic third line who would play against top line competition, and certainly has the ability to put up plenty of points (I expect Dubi ~50 points, Foligno ~60 points this season).

-And for the fourth line, veteran presence who won't be pushed around. They all can throw the body around and get into the dirty areas. Though it may be an expensive fourth line, they could be effective.

Really makes me wonder why they went out and signed Bodnarchuk

We signed him for the AHL. That's the only reason. He has a shot to compete with Falk as an extra if we decide to keep 8 dmen, but thats it

And Paliotta. I think he'll see big minutes in Lake Erie though. Paliotta and Madaisky could be a helluva pairing this season.
