Using existing 23-man squad:

Tkachuk-Norris-Dadanov
Stützle-Tierney-Batherson
Nick Paul-White-Connor Brown
Pacquette-Stepan-Watson
*Galchenyuk-Anisimov-Watson

Chabot-Zub
Brannstrom-Zaitsev**
Wolanin-Gudbranson

Murray
Hogberg

*Galchenyuk is not really suited for 4th line duty and needs to play with offensive players to be effective. DJ should play players I have listed on Lines 1 to 3 every game, but the 4th line is where DJ can get creative with game to game deployments with the rubbish vets Dorion has accumulated this off-season. Watson being the only constant as the 4RW.

**The Zaitser has been very consistent and solid this season, easily his best start in Sens jersey. I like the pairing with Chabot, but Branny needs to be paired with a veteran and I think it will work well. Chabot and Zub(ov) clicked nicely against Montreal last night.

What is Stepan doing right now that Chlapik can't?

I'll wait for a response and thanks for taking my call.

Serious question - I have missed 90% of games, Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson worked so well before. Why are we breaking them up?

Stutzle and C. Brown seemed to have a good connection.
Wonder if Logan's offensive talents could mesh with Dadonov. Or if he would click with Stutzle too since he wouldn't have to drive the line with Stutzle doing most of the work. Less pressure on him, more chance for him to gain confidence.

Brannstrom and Gudbranson also seemed to work well together
Nick Paul will carry whatever line-mates he has.

Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Paul - Tierney/L. Brown - Dadonov
Stützle - Tierney/L. Brown - C. Brown
Pacquette/Galchenyuk - Stepan/Galchenyuk - Watson

Chabot - Zaitsev
Reilly - Zub
Brannstrom - Gudbranson

I know Dadonov isn't putting up points, but I do like the way he's playing. He's quick and isn't afraid to stick his nose (or teeth) in. The skill is there and I'm thinking he should be playing with Stutzle so that he has a real talent to play off of.

Stutzle - White - Dadonov
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Paul - Tierney - Brown
Galchenyuk - Stepan - Watson

Or, hear me out. Stutzle is catching on very quickly. Let's really test him and see if he can play down the middle in the NHL.

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Dadonov
Paul - White - Batherson
Galchenyuk - Norris - Brown
Formenton - Tierney - Watson

Paul-White-CBrown/Dadonov
Chlapik-Tierney-Watson

Unlikely but I’d like to see something like this at some point.

Tierney and dadonov not really fitting in here. Hopefully shipped out soon. Pinto when ready will be a big addition.

I know formenton on the top line might look wrong. Just want to see it.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed LBrown isn’t traded.

I fully expect our D core + alignment next season to be this:

Chabot-Zub
Sanderson-Zaitsev
Brannstrom-J.Brown

I think JBD will make the jump next season, and I have a feeling Gudbranson will be re-signed as a safety net.

Also where’s Wolanin?

Seeing Stutzle's heads up pass to Tierney last game, just imagine him feeding Formenton breaking into the zone going full speed.

I think JBD starts in Bellevegas, then takes J.Brown’s spot at some point relatively soon after. Wolanin selected by Seattle/traded to make way for Sanderson.

Have Logan Brown take Derek Stepan's spot in the lineup and have Alex Formenton take Connor Brown's spot.

Connor Brown isn't being slotted right. If you are hoping for him to come out .. well that just isn't going to happen.
He is a good 3rd line checking role winger that can PK. He should not be on the 1st 2 lines and he should not be on the PP.
I do agree L Brown and Forms have to come in sooner or later.
We need to waive a D or have one on IR to get Wolanin in and keep Zub in.
We have to waive 2 forwards to get L Brown and Forms in.
