Why do people think Lindy would WANT the GM position, let alone be a solid choice for a replacement for Kevyn Adams?

Who knows. I do think Lindy has a better understanding of roster building than Adams does. Whether he’s capable of it is another question.
But yeah I want no part of Appert.

It's worth it so that later it would be easy to fire Appert if necessary and find a good coach. It's harder to get rid of the idiot Adams, but it's necessary.

I was hopeful when Lindy was brought back. I was not thrilled to see it was just a two year deal and that it coincided with the remaining two years on his deal with NJ. I was really not thrilled when they announced who his staff would be.
Now, I will be surprised if Lindy doesn't quit before the end of the season.

for his own health, if nothing else, he should walk away from this steaming pile of shit.
NJ is still paying him for two more years; plus I don't think he needs the cash.

I will not be surprised if Lindy says forget this and walks before the season is over. Especially if Adams continues to sit on his hands and not make any roster moves to try and shake things up.

Please. A hard no to Ruff being POHO or GM. he has never held anything close to those roles. Minus hasek, his coaching career isn't very good at all. It's a terrible joke they would hire him back, but Adams and Terry need their comfort and someone to groom Seth Appert
It would all be pegulas comfort which is the thing that needs to be thrown overboard. Lindy probably has relationships and biases throughout the organization.

I agree, they need a person from outside, be it a GM or a POHO/advisor. This whole story with familiar people has gotten on my nerves.

Maybe he's done for and this franchise is the end of him. I don't understand why he didn't want to add good assistants before the season, and if he did, why is he just keeping quiet while Adams blatantly lies to all of us at a press conference that Ruff was completely satisfied with this garbage coaching staff.

Lindy has been flying under the radar for criticism. He's shown zero ability to get this team out of its funk.
