It’s all speculation. Just wait until draft day that’s all I said.
Exactly.

Everything said up until draft day should be taken with a grain of salt.

And I'll go on record if Benson "falls into the teens" there's going to be alot of teams trying to move to get him. In no way is Zach Benson falling out of the top ten.

Obviously lists etc are subjective but do you foresee any player player falling further than expected in the draft, if yes, why?

There’s too many undersized forwards, some of Yager, Heidt, Cristall, Moore, Perrault, Stenberg are gonna get lost in the shuffle and slip into the second.
I’d love for Perrault to slip to 31st or 37th so my habs can pick him up. Right now, he’s the guy I’m jumping for joy if we draft anywhere besides our 5thOV. And honestly, I’m not jumping for anyone the habs might start at 5 besides Carlsson.

With all the meta about players who will fall, are they really falling, if that's what we're expecting?

Zero chance. I hate when people say that but in this case it's zero chance Perrault slips to the 30s.

Cristall is a late first/second round talent at this point, so I'm not considering him here.

-Zach Benson might slip into the teens due to size
-Calum Ritchie will slip due to little improvement from last year to this year
-Eduard Sale has been slipping because of his work ethic
-Michkov and other Russians will fall because of political reasons
-Yager could slip due to his production, but I could still see the Hawks pick him at 19
-Brindley will fall due to size and is likely not drafted on day 1
-Oliver Moore and Matthew Wood are polarizing players in the scouting community, so you never know where they will go
Since you follow Yager a lot, why did his goal scoring drop compared to last year?

I think Benson drops like Caufield.

Right or wrong, I think it happens with teams picking.

Benson to the Flames 🥵

Good question. I think he took on a bigger two-way and playmaking role from the previous year. I didn't follow him before this year, so I'm not completely sure

Well I only say it because he has been ranked in the 20s for a while.. only lately is he getting into the teens. It’s not like I’m saying I hope Leonard falls to us in the 2nd.

With 31,000 posts you might think you would know how to search for similar threads bro...
I may just be too dumb but is search really still reliable these days? I know it used to but since all the updates I feel like I never get all the results no matter the parameters I select.

Benson and Michkov will go lower than people think.

I'll go bold and say ASP is the third defenseman off the board.

I am/was high on both players for obviously different reasons, but you could be right. I nailed my pick with Caufield and was shaking my head as he was falling in the draft, so hopefully I'm right about Benson. Caufield had that elite ability to get his shots off quickly and set himself up for opportunities as a prospect, and in the same sort of way I see that with Benson but with his playmaking. So many of his plays and situational awareness are already at a great NHL level that people who are overlooking these things are failing to see what makes them so good at what they do. Snipers need the ability to get their shots off and playmakers need the ability to anticipate oncoming plays and where guys will be and Benson has a lot of that same situational awareness that Pettersson had when he was his age. Both guys know where to put the puck and when to not force the puck through junior level plays.

Since you follow Yager a lot, why did his goal scoring drop compared to last year?

Benson to the Flames 🥵
He did an interview with Vancouver radio saying he went into the year trying to eliminate the "Yager is only a goal scorer" attitude about his passing. Said he was passing up on a lot of goal scoring opportunities he'd have taken the year before because he wanted to boost his draft stock by having a more complete offensive game so he was trying to show off his playmaking a bit more.

Whether that's true or not, who knows. Seemed genuine though.

Reinbacher for me. My guess is he falls out of the top 10, and is the 2nd D taken.
