Post-Game Talk: Lightning @ Rangers 2/10/13 "The Adventures of Wade Richards and Rick Gomez"

Hags, Cally, Hank

Hank kept it in check early, Callahan was really strong all night, Hagelin obviously a big night. Pretty much everyone was good tonight, Richards/Miller/Kreider were meh but a damn good win.

Good game.

Asham gets the John Tortorella fist pump. What an honor.

I thought Nash played a decent game. He creates a lot of chances. Just a matter of time until he starts putting more in. He set up Hagelin's 1st goal and drew a penalty by protecting the puck on a wrap around and made a nice little dangle to get a chance in front. Also, saw him with a few takeaways. He's nowhere near deserving of the title Rick Gomez.

Also, it's really nice that Hank and the Offense were on the same page for once. Offense puts up a big game and Hank doesn't let by any crap goals.

When Hank plays like he did tonight the offense can afford to risk getting caught cause he'll make the big saves. That's how you should use an elite goalie; to create offense.

Nash should have had 2 goals.. getting a goal because it goes off your glove is crazy.

Nothing to complain about, IMO. I really like the Halpern/Powe PK tandem, and I thought was very good all night. Even though he didn't have a point, it was his pressure on the puck that led to both the Callahan and Asham goals. I also thought the 2nd PP unit of Kreider/Miller/Gaborik looked better than the first unit. I think this team is primed to get on a roll.

Rolling 4 lines nicely. I'm liking Powe a lot.

Pretty dominating performance and starting to get back to Rangers hockey. Got to keep it going though with Boston Tuesday. Afterwards, we have a slight break in the schedule (NYI, WAS, MTL, OTT, MTL, WPG)

Hank gets my first star. How many times did he save us on odd man rushes in the first period? I can't count that high.

Hagelin and Callahan get my other two votes. Nash HM.

Outside of those first period breakdowns, was a really solid game by the whole team.
