Time to go Light it up on NHL 13... I got Drafted 1st overall by the Jets on my Be A Pro. Now I know why we picked that high

did that guy on 1290 just say the jets were in a position to win this game? Was he talking about approximately up to the five minute mark of the first period?

If they play like this in the Mts Centre they are going to get booed out of the building.:dunno:

They better start Montoya on Tuesday because Pavelec is really starting to embarrass himself.

Tampa Bay exposed our lack of depth.

I really hate to give up on Pavelic, but, clearly he is an average goalie.

Average goaltending will not win a Stanley Cup.

What disappointed me the most was the lack of emotion and lack of pride in the jersey.

We just quietly accepted our fate and played shinny for the rest of the game.

On the positive, I thought both Redmond and Postma played well.

Scheifele looked better at his natural center position.

Completely agree with this. No one in the line-up stood up and said enough is enough. Wouldn't have minded someone dropping the flippers and fighting back a little. Just a reminder, we're still playing this game and you'll have to fight for each inch.

Nope, it was more, let's trade chances and try to make fancy plays. Needed more grit on this trip. A lot more grit.

The positives from this game was that Redmond and Postma proved that they are NHL'rs, and that Scheifele can also be a contributor when put with the proper linemates.

This game was most people's pre season worst nightmare come true. Bad goaltending, and weak defense (due to lack of depth), really didn't give us much shot.

Watching all the talent in the Chicago - Vancouver game , we have a ways to go until we are semi close to that level ... and we need to play intensely much much more consistently.

This is the kind of score to expect when you put the best pp unit against the worst pk one for half a game

It's easy to see Redmond and Postma having long NHL careers even this early in. There may be some rough nights in the first year or two though.

Scheifele is caught in a numbers game. We have 10 forwards to fit on 3 lines. The second he gets sent down, one of them will be injured and we'll be faced with calling up another checker from St.J.
