I think he is going to be great for us, he has a great skills and size, but one thing many said from his previous team, was, that when he makes mistakes they end in the back of the net, and I have seen a few of them and specially his tendency to fall at critical moments. but when you add Ekblad, we get so much better, all the pairs are familiar and know each other well. huge plus.

Jones was a great get, thanks Zito

Jones has been okay. Thing is, we badly needed a guy who is okay, because it means he pushes Balinskis and Bjornfot and Megna out of the lineup.
 
I don't know much about Schmid, in fact the whole season was one of those players that hardly registered in the radar, more like a worker bee.

Does anyone know more about him, like what kind of player he was and why we got him such a contract?

Is he a reclaimed goods like OEL was?

Montour just had more flair than Jones and was a sick skater. Jones has been very solid. Hes had some bad games but he’s had a lot of games where’s he’s been just a pure minute muncher which we need bad.

Sounds unimpressive, but not bad.

Where have I heard that before?
 
The Habs, Oilers, and Devils all won last night. All down 2, let break that trends.

If there is a time to win and make a strong statement is today with Hagel out, that is the price they have to pay for the Barkov hit. bring the pain to them.

He's a perfectly fine RD for the second pair which is great. We badly needed that! But the guy ain't a world beater, so I'll be happy with what he is and not pretend he is anything that he's not.

To be fair, those were all teams coming home with the series. The Panthers were the only team up 2-0 on the road.

Didn't Maurice say a day or two ago that Ekblad would be thrown right back into his spot on the top pair and special teams?
