Well, they suck way worse than most of us expected I think. Specially as a cap team.

In a season like this where honestly any line is worth scrambling, let's put line talk in here. What would you like to see?

I'm not going to post any lines but I'll say this. They need to decide who their 4 centers are and stick to it. They've used 8 different players at center so far this year 11 games in.

It's not helping the D-corps whatsover with this musical chairs in the center ice position. The center is basically another D-man once the puck is in the defensive zone with their responsibilities down low and around the net. The lack of consistency in who the center icemen are is just making the D-Corps life more difficult. The 3 skaters have to work in sync with each other to defend the house where all the goals are being scored.

There is going to be a fair bit of movement up and down the line-up figuring out the wingers. In the meantime, they need to establish who their centers are and at least have some consistency there.

Agreed but when none of Coyle, Zacha or Poitras gave a single 5 on 5 goal it’s hard to get excited about either option.

At this point I don't even care about their goal production just get back to at least playing solid defense.

If they are insistent on using Matt Poitras in the middle then send him to Providence. Right now he's a liability at center in the defensive zone and if he's on the big club, belongs on the wing for the time being.

Zacha, Lindholm, and Coyle would be 3 of my 4 centers. I'm just not sure if I want the 4th one to be Beecher, Kastelic or Geekie.

I do know I never want to see Geekie on the wing again. He looks like David Backes on the wing with his awful first couple strides in a straight line. Keep him in the middle where he's played the past 3 years of his career and where he keeps his feet moving and can use his size down low in the defensive zone.

I'm curious what happens if Marchand is a third liner. What would a good third line be? Poitras and Kastelic with Marchy?
