OT: Let's talk about Movies and TV Shows, Part XXX (...how can this possibly go wrong)

Are some of you seriously arguing about characters?

It's like me yelling at the tv...DOUBLE TAP, DOUBLE TAP OR IT'S GOING TO GET UP AGAIN

Dammit, those guys never listen to me...:help:
Do you get this feeling too around here with some of the subject matter?:dunno:

I just finished Tehran 3 seasons and...really enjoyed it.

Besides the movie, most of it was shot in Greece and it brought up memories of what Greek inner citie houses/buildings looks like. Car plates in Iran are in Farsi so it was humorous picking off car plates in Greek.

Anywho...interesting series and recommend. If you have Apple tv it may be available to you.
Guess they couldn't find a better/safer match for Tehran.:dunno:
Not a fan of Athens and hate driving there.

Been a while but it was terrific. A couple other stand out with Welles: Touch of evil and Citizen Kane. After seeing Kane, I'm convinced he was a stoner in those days.

:partytime:

I watched Touch of Evil around the same time in the 90s in rentals as well. It was around the time where I was on a classic movies discovery after they started restoring movies and put them on VHS. It became a gold mine for a couple of years. lol Touch of Evil, I liked it well enough but it was uneven. Like Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut. Where you realise that there's something there but it doesn't come together well enough. I weird years later that the movie had been taken away from Orson and they butchered it. Years later I bought the restored movie based on the original intentions of Orson but I have yet watched it(I have a huge collection and most of my movies I have not watched yet! lol )

Just finished watching it. Well written with a good plot. Hugh Laurie is quite good in this. The characters he plays now (House etc...) have evolved quite a bit since the days of Black Adder.

Like most inner city Euro cities, Athens is not for Canadian drivers. You have to be fast acting and fully aware of your surroundings ...or carry a lot of insurance. Basically Canadian city driving at 2x reflex/reaction speed.

Try riding a motorcycle there. It's mental...
