Sorry about the rant, but like a movie you never know what will tickle your fancy or cause you to blow your stack.

Don't misinterpret what I said, which I mentioned in the previous sentence. I care nothing of budget but of what is entertaining, interesting and captivating. What interests one might not interest another, so be it. Mindset comes into play on occasion as well, be prepared for what is about to unfold. Can hardly enjoy High Plains Drifter if you're expecting Die Hard.

I often cite seeing the Wall from Floyd, saw it when it came out in the mindset needed and it was terrific, made sense, even had a brief encounter with the boys in blue afterwards which was resolved without incident.

Watched again when it came out on video, tv screen and no sound system with a beer and blunts, nope! couldn't get into it, nobody did.
I have no issue with Kinear or Brosnan, but Mama Mia? It was difficult to get through. The saving grace was the location setting. Like you, tried The Big Lebowski because so many raved about it, nope! but people still went on and on, so with every illicit controlled substance available known to mankind, gave it go repeatedly and it still hasn't cast its spell on me although there are a few segments that I like.
I got my fingers crossed that it will happen on my birthday, if the mrs is in a good mood.
