Had to check this show out as it was doing its filming just down the beach a bit from a sibling's place where I was staying and watched them in action now and again. Figured it would be trash, and it is. Don't bother with it.

Bit of a heads up if considering checking out these shows. A good kiwi bud told me about them and thought I'd have some interest in seeing them as one is filmed in his neck of the woods. Doesn't do Christchurch justice and is still rebuilding and I guess his way to invite to us a Christmas wedding. Just what I always wanted for Christmas, a 30 hour travel itinerary,:thumbd::thumbd: will do a workaround with that though. 6 episodes and better suited to a movie format, intriguing but not a must see.

Apples never fall, supposed to be Miami but it's filmed in Australia. Another best suited to a movie format and too predictable, would not push to see it.

Deadpool and Wolverine - Good movie, not a great one. Kind of a mess and felt long at times, but FANTASTIC chemistry between the two mains and goes to show good characters can carry a mediocre script. Very “self-aware”, over-the-top violent and some fun fan service, especially if you were a fan of the non-MCU Marvel movies and Wolverine comics. Best part, none of this woke and leftist agenda bullshit.

Not the best MCU movie, or even the best Deadpool movie, but it’s a cinematic masterpiece compared to most of what Disney is pumping out.

7.5/10

I actually got tired of Deadpool's injections every 3 seconds. It's like, we get the character , you don't have to make a joke or goofy comment every 5 seconds. Probably in the minority I know, my kids felt it was too much Reynolds and Angry Jackman.

Fun movie, my brain needed a rest after. Enjoyed DP2 much more

Never liked Colin Farrell, but ~whistle~, he's killing it as Oswalt. The dedication, putting on that suit, maintaining the gimp stride, the character, the acting. Emmy worthy.

Speaking of Emmy worthy, episode 5 of Monsters (season 2), The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, is a one shot sequence with Cooper Koch, playing Erik Menendez, that should see him compete with Farrell for the emmy.

Not my favorite actor either but i tough he was really good in the movie Phone Booth (2002). Very underrated movie imo.

Yeah I very much liked that movie. Remember watching it a few times in the first few years it came out.
Yeah i like those kind of low budget film where the entire movie is at the same location but the story and acting are so good that you are on the edge of your seat. 12 Angry Men (1957) and Buried (2010) are also movies like that.

I've been interested in adaptations of The Count of Monte Cristo. The most recent hails from France this summer and is apparently now showing at Cinema Guzzo.

Following up on a Reddit thread, I could not believe how many film and series adaptations were produced around the world. I'd love to be able to see as many as possible but am afraid most of these will be difficult to find.

Watched interstellar, love the visuals and concept. Great storytelling but man the acting and dialogue is a slog. I can see why so many memes came out of it.

I respect the hell out of Nolan and love all of his movies, but also wish he could be convinced to stop writing dialogue. So bad. When I rewatch Interstellar I turn it off shortly after the legendary docking scene.

A sister of the mrs made us check out this show, funny stuff. I always forget that they learned German as a second language way before learning English, but a lot of Japanese did, back in the day anyways.

Some blokes from America were saying that The Bear is a must watch show. The title should be called UNBEARABLE as it was rubbish. Read some reviews afterwards and who are these people that love it? must be part of that crowd that's into those unreal reality shows claptrap.

Got around to seeing Troppo, a domestic production, it was pretty decent and some picturesque cinema-photography from the Queensland area.

I don't get the love for The Bear either. I watched the first 4-5 episodes and hated it.

A few movies i love from both side. I was sure Sense and Sensibility would have made the list but was happy he did not i love this movie. Surprised Lawrence of Arabia made the list like how do you not rank this movie top 100? Little bit surprised by Hidden Figures. Fell like women rank it too high and men too low. It's a very good movie. Little bit surprised by Rashomon too way too low ranked by women. Not a fan of Sound of Music but 516? The rest was predictable.
