just a solid great game all around...they just own Nashville

I love that they played a mostly simple game with straight lines and shots on net
Pickard was solid as a rock
Podz one-punching that dude was hilarious lol

more of that going forward!

Yeah I enjoyed the scrappy game tonite.
Podz can sure chuck em. Had to get the ice scraper out.

Pickard should have been third star imo

That was such a tremendous effort from Drai and the rest of the 1st line tonight. Any thoughts the Preds might have had that they’d have an easier time with the Oilers with McDavid out was completely destroyed in that first dominant shift to start the game.

Draisaitl had that puck on a string all game. What a beastly performance.

People mentioned how huge it is getting some legs in lineup. Philps was solid I thought. Cags was critical on one of the goals getting a good shot off setting up the rebound.

Perry too benefits from having some legs around. That way he doesn't have to skate for pucks as much and others can stretch to corners and leave Perry where he should be around net. Sublime goal by Perry, goal scorers goal, and he had another one but wanted to give Philps a goal instead. Nice touch by Perry tonight. Didn't work out but respect your game today.

Giving Perry some linemates that can win in the trenches is another big part of the equation. Ryan, much like McLeod, keeps his nose a little too clean for playing on a grind line.

Philp has the size, and Cags, if anything, is little ball of energy. I can also see Janmark as a decent fit on that line once Connor’s back.

Janmark-Philip-Perry

Though with how things are going, I wouldn’t mind Perry on a more offensive line and a bottom 6 featuring…

I thought Caggiula had a great preseason. Not surprised to see him look good on the 4th line. Adds some speed and energy with his endless motor and that guy is tough as nails. Still remember him fighting Domi the game after he took a puck to the face and lost a bunch of teeth. Pulled his own fishbowl off and went at it.

Philp should have made the team out of camp. Just does everything that Ryan doesn't. Big, strong, skates well, excellent faceoff guy, great defensive awareness, and some offensive skill.

I just want to point out how ridiculous it is that this video is age censored. Kids see a lot worse than this anything else they're watching. Oh but you can't watch a hockey fight? Oh, there were drips of blood, jebus chances are kids seen every Saw movie, seen Freddy Krueger, Jason, Friday the 13th, House of thousand Corpses and this is censored. What a strange world.

The whole game is disturbing though for a Preds fan. The comments there are great. 9 popcorn rating. Starting the first page.

What a shitty night out there for the kids. Not much Halloween going on and its a wet miserable night. Cold and humid, worst combo. Go out walking and theres a fine mist, rain, slight feel of snow. I'd rather have cold weather than the dampness. Roads could get frosty tonight. Oh take the pumpkins in.

Philp is only going to get better from here. His adjustment to the AHL was insane, and he's going to adjust just as quick to the NHL imo

So happy for him. He really showed he belonged tonight. Lots of little things, he made some really mature line changes and reads.
Hadn't seen too much of the player since the Bears. Ohter than preseason anyway. no nerves tonight, big game, and I thought his engagement on pucks and reads was good. So many of these Ex bears are so well coached. One of the things that has made Golden bears hockey so enjoyable through the decades.

We have outscored teams 11-1 in games I haven't watched. I will continue to sit out for a bit

Pod cold cocked that guy! Super happy to see Philp on the board and the big Diesel Leon do some big damage tonight

Good for Arvy and Hyman as well. Nice win men

Sorry to Derek Ryan, but Philp should never be sent down again. Great team effort tonight.
That was obvious during pre season

Great effort, Hyman and Arvidsson on the board, Draisaitl and Arvidsson buzzing, Pickard good, Pod killed a man, Philip with his first point. That line looked good too.

Hope they can build off of this and keep it rolling.
Life in the NHL had just begun. Now he's gone and thrown it all away.

Also I just watched Leon's second, that move he made on the defenceman at the top of the circles is actually insane.

He knows that Skjei has to respect his backhand pass, so he fakes it and takes two strides and goes right the f*** around him. Unreal.
