So that actually sounds disappointing. I was hopeful he'd come to camp and try for a spot here.
it actually doesn't sound like that at all? He literally says he is unsure.

Rare, small Devils related stuff when it comes to Lenni:
Devils development coach Esa Pirnes was at the game, and Lenni exchanged some words with him (no further info on that).
Said that the Devils have been in contact, but he's wanted to not do it to an excessive degree. Wants to now focus on this Ässät season. And that because of the military service last summer he's not been there in a while.
Lenni said that he feels like he's taken good steps in his development. That he can make the final decision himself when it comes to him going and challenging for an NHL spot, but atm. he's unable to reveal the time when he's leaving.

I'm sure after seeing the Doumolin trade he's already counting the days.He can wait until after June 2027 and then sign with a better organization.
Waiting two years is a lot? Anyway we can trade him for McDermid the Second before. He can wait until after June 2027 and then sign with a better organization.
How much longer does the season run for him? When do playoffs start?Flu going through the team apparently and even after the line-ups were announced Lenni's winger partner Erholtz got replaced. Most things weren't really clicking today with all the different combos (and maybe some guys weren't quite at a 100% who knows), for Lenni either (in the first he did brake some plays in the middle of the ice, and hit a post but yeah).
Reg. season ends on the 15th. The quarterfinal qualifiers are on the 18th, 19th, 21st, + possibly 22nd & 24th.How much longer does the season run for him? When do playoffs start?
Do they have skating metrics available too like NHL Edge?Oh, and looks like Lenni had his hardest shot of the season today with a 101,13 mph (162,76 kph) effort.
11 players (4 forwards) have had a harder shot, while the 2nd player on this stat on Ässät stands at 95,58 mph (153,83 kph).

For some Devils comparisonsSkating distance, avg distance per period, & top speed at least.
Lenni third in Ässät forwards on them, while tied #1 on top speed with 22,64 mph (36,43 kph).
That would be above average in the NHLSkating distance, avg distance per period, & top speed at least.

What is next step for Lenni ?
Is Utica a possibility or does he take a year more in Finland
Game 59:
Erholtz wasn’t back. Guy who started in his place got switched again, and things just didn’t click quite as well as usual. Some chances (Lenni with 7 shot attempts), but also got hemmed in their zone a few times during Lenni's 20:10 TOI. Got a PP-secondary for point number 50:
And unfortunately the team overall continued its poor play. Home ice still in their own hands (yay) on Saturday, and hey... the playoffs could be a totally different world?
Game 60:
Erholtz got back, but the line-up has kept being a lively one overall. So a better evening for Lenni’s line as expected, but also a much better evening overall for the team in the 4-1 win. With the looks the line and Lenni had could’ve easily gotten more than the EN-goal (Lenni with the primary on it below) at the end, but really good stuff.
Next up: playoff 1st round bo5 vs HPK (Game days: 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, & 24th)
Season series against the team went 2-2 with 6 GF & 7 GA. Lenni scoring 2 goals in those 4 games.
As far as U21-players go, his 51 points…
Are #3 on Ässät behind Christian Ruuttu & Arto Javanainen, so #1 in the last 40 years (#2 at 38pts)
Are tied #3 with Mikael Granlund in the last 30 years in the league, behind Ville Koivunen & Teemu Pulkkinen
+ Are #6 for all Ässät players the last 30 years
Also: Lenni had the most shot attempts by a forward in the League in the last three seasons with 293.
So yeah what Lenni managed to do in his 58 reg. season games was a pretty big deal.
