And I am saying that if you substract both Radulov and offensive zone starts, you are left with last year's Galch.

Also MTL plays MaxPac like a matchup grinder. No wonder you are pissed if the usage is on par with Brodziak.

Just found out Pacioretty played all of November with a fractured foot. A hairline fracture, nonetheless you have to figure that might have had an impact on his production. He's back on track for 30.

Fan base or me?

Galchenyuk is overrated and Radulov is underrated by the point totals.

Radulov has 5 first assists on Galch 9 goals.

Radulov received 3 Galch assists. Radulov/Galch co-assisted another 4.

So 14 points through Radulov, out of 23.

=> Try to sign Radulov in the summer, since Galch will drop back to earth after he leaves. Alternatively trade Galch on the end of year bubble for good price.

So Galchenyuk drops down to being a probable 60+ point scorer along with 30 goals? You do realize he just scored 30 without Radulov.

This thread can be summarized as;
"I want your star 1st line defenseman....but I want to severely underpay. Trust me, these prospects are like, super valuable guys"

Brodin is not a star 1st line defensman. That may be the real problem of this thread.

It doesn't have to be the top-pairing from a team, but rather someone who is considered to be top-pairing. For example, Brodie, Vlasic, Lindholm, etc are all used in 2nd pairings in their respective teams, but I consider them all top-pairing. A legit top-pairing means not some top-4/5 that *could* fill in for Weber, but rather someone who will fit in perfectly and compliment Weber.

So far, these are the 2 proposals in this thread:

Brodie for Pacioretty
JVR+Gardiner+2nd for Pacioretty and Sergachev

I like them both. Want to see what others think.

You like that?? Ate you insane??

How is Gardiner a 'legit top-pairing LHD'? Nevermind how horrible the value is for us...

And Brodie for Patches? Yeah, no. The point is to not lose a piece of the core. Better to look for a top 4 D who would compliment Weber.

You dont know if Johnson for Pacioretty is close value-wise..? It has nothing to do with how both fanbases value each player, the answer is pretty straightforward.

Considering Hall for Larsson, Pacc for JJ isn't too far off IMO. Defensmen are at a premium and he's a pretty good option. Ideally a 3 but can definetly play 2 beside Weber

You're argument makes no sense, JJ is not a good player, at all. Larsson is still a young shutdown dman with a ton of upside.

If the Sabres don't resign him I could Kulikov being a TDL dead to Montreal.

Considering they went out and made a deal to bring him in, i'd imagine the Sabres would probably like to re-sign Kulikov. But if for some reason it doesn't look like it's going to work out, that would be a good option for the Habs.

It might surprise you to know that Jack Johnson is currently one of the plus-minus leaders on the Jackets. +10 with five assists and no goals, second only to his regular blueline partner Savard and Saad who both are +11.

That doesn't necessarily make him worth giving up Pacioretty, but this absurd nonsense that he's a bad player has seriously got to stop.

Is it the same argument that people use to say Fowler was bad? Bad fancy stats?

oh wow, +/-..

i guess that's an accomplishment when you're a perennial -10 to -20 player every season

if you wanna talk about real stats, his advanced stats havent changed at all, still atrocious.

Pretty much. Only it doesn't even apply so far this year, so folks aren't even keeping current; they're just recycling old nonsense.

hey, that's the same for us with Fowler this season too!

Sorry for distracting from the discussion, just find the similarities funny.
