Exactly. All the right things to say.

If he's thinking, "We're hot shit and I'm too good to answer this question", it comes out as "We need to build on last night's win."

If he's thinking "The coach should apologize to us for saying we stunk the game before last", it comes out "We need to come out and play hard from the whistle."

If he's thinking "It all worked out because we had a word with the coach about how idiotic his comments were and not to do it again", it comes out "We have a lot of faith in each other to um ahh get on a roll."

Tavares is a pro. He doesn't say stupid things. Boring, but not stupid.

he's been in front of the cameras since he was 15 so he knows not to say anything which combined with not having a personality means he's not really someone you’d want to interview

Mo's perfected the prototypical NHL interview , doesn't say anything controversial but says it eloquently and with sincerity .

Oh man we are so manning this game up and win! Getting points again and its so good. Matthews scoring again etc. They are missing one of their best players in ehlers. Therefore (they) dont have a chance. We have all of our Talentum and PowerPoint going. Imagine how strong of a will and talk and energy positive simmonds will bring tomorrow..... amazing. God bless you all.
 
In terms of PP, I think it's time Sandin gets a shot on the first line instead of Mo. Love Mo but he seems predictable and does not have the shot I want at the top of the PP.

I don't really get the hesitancy with Rielly. I guess you are looking off like 40 mill worth of offensive talent whenever you take a shot as a defenseman on that top PP unit, but it is not even like Matthews/Marner are doing much right now.

Sandin's shot wasn't even anything special. It was clearly a shot for a tip/rebound into traffic and it worked.

Did anybody comment on 3 Leafs standing and staring at each other as Gio lay on the ice after being pasted to the boards from behind by the Stars player ? We got your back Gio. Not.

reminds me of when Matthews laid out Sergachev in the playoffs last year and no one did anything. That soft team won't win anything.

Simmonds would have beaten the shit out that hole in the ice that made Gio lose an edge, guarantee it would think twice about doing that again. Too bad there was no one there to take an instigator late in a tie game.

As soon as Dubois or Pionk pulls one of their sneaky dirty BS plays might be the time that Bunts does a "oops sorry didn't mean to drive the butt end of my stick into your jaw, and the Wayne Trains you through the end boards.

The Jets are a dirty bunch someone needs to hurt them back. I loved to score when I played but I loved putting the hurt on the dirty guys more. I just wish the Leafs had some of those guys that can do that job. You need to show you have players on the team that can and will do that job when needed, otherwise the opponent starts running around.

I really don't understand why you even call yourself a Leafs fan. All negative, all the time.

I'd prefer if the Leafs could inject some toughness using a player that actually has some of it and isn't a complete liability in all other facets, personally.

No, because they could not care less about anything besides shutting Matthews down.

And they certainly could not care less about a guy like Simmonds who is on the bench for all but like 8 minutes a game.

Lost an edge did he? May want to tell Keefe who is dressing Simmonds tomorrow night all due to a rut in the ice. You can't make this stuff up.
