Matthews timing looks a little off at times but this looks like a healthy, engaged and energetic version of him and he's making an impact right away.
Really hope Jake McCabe is okay after falling on the ice during that Hathaway tilt.
Good for Domi sticking up for him vs Hathaway. Kinda wish he had somehow scored the OT winner while managing to complete the elbow hat trick as well. Otherwise he looks kind of rough out there.
McMann looks good out there and feels like he's growing into his NHL role.
Knies looked like a bull again out there, some weird high risk plays in open ice with his ill-timed dekes. Hope he cleans that up.
Pacioretty is turning into Gary Roberts. I don't know what's happening there.
Myers and Benoit look really strong physically and play a mean brand. They were beating up Tippet all night long and it warms the heart to see an opposition star player get worked all over the ice for no reason.
Rielly got a monkey off his back.
Hildeby looked sub NHL on that early shot but settled into a very strong and calm game in net.
Nylander is just sleepwalking lately, looks like a zombie out there and very sloppy everywhere.
On the Flyers side, I didn't like Torts' sweater, Michkov looks a little young out there, Fedotov looks pretty good in net. As much as we hate Hathaway, that guy would be a shift disturber in the playoffs if we ever got our hands on him. Laughton looked pretty good too.
