Good defence, very good goaltending

1st line looked like peak 1st line. Marner dancing, Matthews chugging, knies grinding

2nd line was hit or miss, the first 5 seconds determined the rest of the shift, Tavares had his strongest game yet and he still couldn’t get on the board

3rd line did it again, Robertson will now be sat till the trade deadline

4th line was good, hemmed them in when we needed them to especially at the end of the third

I liked everyone on defence’s game apart from Brodie, I’d look to bring lagesson in for him to give him a reset like gio

Yeah Brodie is struggling bad, but the problem is that they don't trust anyone else to play the tough minutes besides him (and Rielly). So he is there until a trade is made unfortunately.

Mitch Marner looks alot more like himself this week and Samsonov had his best game of the year tonight. The defense still sucks outside of Rielly and McCabe, but you take the positives wherever you can get em.

I know everyone has a Liljegren boner on this board because stats but I thought he was awful tonight. His lack of size and speed really show up when he has the puck under pressure.

A big part of it is that we signed Bertuzzi and Domi to provide middle 6 offense and neither one can seem to score.

91 was awesome tonight minus a really confusing sequence in the third where he double teamed a Kraken forward in the corner which left the weakside winger wide open back door.

Marner and Matthews when they are like that, it isn't chemistry, is symbiotic. They were awesome controlling play, what a clinic. And Knies did his part as well. Love to see their advanced stats tonight. Lived in their end.

McCabe and Benoit were studs tonight. Reilly and Lilly were pretty good. I didn't notice Timmins too much which is a good thing. Brodie had some roughness, but overall wasn't hideous at least.
