I hate the shootout, so does everyone, but that was pretty thrilling. Still, it should never have got there in the first place.
Two days, two home wins!
Mo with another good game, solid clears and no mistakes and we need to give him his propers here.
52 f***ing shots. Murray got shelled but was dialed from puck drop, good character win and good for him.
Completely fluky goal on the first one, that Stutzle snipe through Lily's legs was a thing of beauty, the first Brady goal was a cheeky little set play and the tying goal was a broken play off a McCabe block. Can’t give him any shit on any goal.
The Ottawa goalie had less shots but looked decent as well, few shots but many dangerous.
Voodoo Child loves the Human Eraser!
Willy was looking good in the 1st but barely noticeable in the next two, what the f*** was that running into JT in OT? No good Willy, sexy shootout snipe notwithstanding.
I don't care for AM without one of Mitch or Willy but those Jarnkrok passes? Saucy. With his shot it isn't just his hands, but his timing is way the hell off and has been all season, missing lots of tap-ins and shooting into tons of legs.
The much-vaunted Jakob Chychrun was all sorts of bland - but that other Jake they have looks real.
Kerfoot with the shootout winner, lolwut!?
Mitch was Mitch-like which is to say great, but he should have went for it with the EN, needs to elevate the puck and I don't need to say what we're all thinking.
Stutzle and Sanderson are very nice pieces to build around and I already dislike Ridly Greig and not just for his Generation TikTok name, but the Snes are in dire need of a goalie.
Chabot lol.
Up til the 3rd, I thought, 'this is how you officiate a game'; don't let shit get out of hand and let them play but try to get the egregious shit, but that Holl penalty was a clear dive and the boys ran a fantastic kill, that Jarnkrok-Chabot icing call was bullshit and that Brodie penalty is in the dictionary beside Game Management and you just knew what would happen.
But perfect usage of the Challenge, hat tip to Keefe and his video team there.
We can talk clinching scenarios and magic numbers. Higher numbers equal more likely to make it.
Philly, Montreal and Columbus: Gone, gone and gone in January.
Ottawa: 4, thank you very much.
Washington and Detroit: also 4.
Buffalo: 7.
Dear John: 9.
Florida: 10.
Pittsburgh: 11.
