I'd rather Murray and Sammy both go through some ups and downs now to gear up for the playoffs. The Leafs only need 1 on their game for a stretch at a time.

It's also nice that the Leafs have two goalies capable of rebounding well and putting up a strong night. Didn't seem like that last year.

Of course if one or both go through multi-game struggles, it might be worth to give Woll a look.

I know the stat line wasn't great for Murray, but I don't think it was all on him.

I'm so glad Samsonov bailed him out (with some awesome saves).

I’d have to go back and watch again. Two goals he let in, absolutely should have been stopped. One I don’t blame on him, the fourth I missed.

The Leafs sure could use a Brick Woll in goal.

I'm kind of expecting to see another 5 plus games out of the Kallgren/Woll combo the rest of the way. Quality of goaltending and load management and health leads me to think they'll need more starts from guys who can spell some relief and try to make an impression.

I liked seeing Sammy take charge but we've seen him falter too, so I think they have to keep an even keel somehow and avoid a prolonged cold streak from both their goalies.

Don't think we've pulled the goalie on too many occasions. Samsonov was clutch but must have been a bit of a wakeup call to the team. Murray was a dog though. Feels like there's more bad than good in his game lately. Bad trend.
Tonight was the first time Keefe changed goalies during a game because of how one of them played.

The only other time it happened this season was against Boston when Samsonov got hurt.

And look at this pissy tweet.

4/4/2022: Leafs @ Tampa
4/5/2022: Leafs @ Florida

4/21/2022: Leafs @ Tampa
4/23/2022: Leafs @ Florida

Four times in a little under three weeks the Leafs played two wagons in their barns, where’s the outrage on that!?

Way to defer accountability…

The Panthers fans on the main boards are complaining about the number of power plays the Leafs had, especially that charging penalty on Gudas. Maybe they should blame their team for blowing a 4-2 lead.

Thank you Willy Styles. I had faith in the boys tonight!

Yeah the turtle was strange although I don’t believe a guy should have to fight after throwing a clean hit.
His first penalty was dumb, no doubt. The other one was a hard clean hit, shouldn’t have been a penalty.
I like a 6th d to be a wildcard kind of player to keep the other team honest. Holl is no where near that.
All good though, I know it’s not a popular opinion.
i don't think it was a clean hit though - i felt he kinda clipped him low no? Broadcaster also mentioned as such. Although i don't have a strong opinion either way.

First time all season, other than for the Samsonov injury early on. Not that there have not been other opportunities... but this was warranted, no doubt.

The got caved in pretty good in the third again. and barely possessed the puck in OT

Maybe. I’d have to watch it again.

The PPs had an impact on the blown lead.
