Think it was 3 years but none the less. You can dissect it a lot of ways. They are both really good players but in the PO Nylander is superior once you get into elimination games and goal scoring.

But yes more important than this contract is how will we perform in the playoffs aka when will we win the cup. Even if we win two rounds we'll still complain :laugh:

Nylander will get his percentage of the cap and he will get all the hate again because it will be over 11 mil .

Cap will go up quite a bit in the next 8 yrs

Nylander won’t go 8 yrs without it being over 11 mil. IMHO

Never felt better about these guys and the future by the way they competed against Washington. Thought they'd have a cup or two by now, instead it's been all playoff disappointments.

I'm so excited to be able to watch Nylander for another 8 years. Giddy in fact. Him amd Matthews as career Leafs would be awesome.

I'm hoping we walk away from Tavares when his contract is up and go for a younger centre. And then with Marner what to do? I'd love a trade for a top dman, but those trades seem almost impossible to make.

I don't think we'll have a choice but to resign him. Exciting times either way.
