All I can say is this:

If you are *****ing about Sparks in this game, you probably don’t enjoy hockey. We aren’t the only team with good players capable of putting pucks in the net. Chicago is loaded with offense as well.

This is likely going down as one of the most exciting games of the year.

Also, on a side note, where are all the Islanders fans that were trolling last night? Snake got him self a hat trick. Won’t you come like this post for Tavares?
This game had everything, early candidate for most entertaining game of the year for the Leafs.

I honestly don't know how many more Gardiner brain farts I can take. That pass right on the tape of Blackhawks player in 2nd period to create a 2 on 1 and scoring chance was horrific. One of the worst I've ever seen. I'm so done with this guy and wonder when the heck management/babs will realize the liability he is.

Hey man, relax. Not like this is a Game 7 or anything ...

If were trying to emulate the patriots we need to do like they do and own our f*** ups asap. Dubas needs to touch his balls and kick this trashcan to the curb. Sparks is a ahl dumpster goalie, not enough talent nor intellect for the nhl.

True, but its not like Holtby and Murray didn't get together on a 7-6 game a couple of nights ago.

That's true, but imo both of those goalie have excellent pedigrees to warrant games like that being a one offer. Sparks has given no indication at the NHL level yet that this is the case for him

Fun game!

Funny, I feel like Dubas got the big decisions very right this season, but the small decisions very wrong. Waiving McBackup to keep Sparks, and waiving Carrick to keep Oz, both looking like real bad calls.

Still, loving this team overall, we’re gonna be damn good. Need to make some tweaks at RD and backup G though.

Take the two points and run.

I wouldn't even know where to start on the defensive issues, Babcock really needs to start earning his paycheck and get it sorted.
If he hasn't sorted by now, he likely never will, unless, Lidstrom comes out of retirement!

Love how all the people who don't know a thing about hockey are dumping on Sparks.

3 of the Hawks goals were deflections or screens and also Hainsey.

Hawks goals were just a scramble mess except the Kane one.

Relax peeps, you are going to have an aneurysm.

If Sparks plays poorly this season, we'll acquire a different backup on waivers or for a late pick, like we've done before. No reason to panic about our backup goalie situation 3 games into the season.

The casual way in which you think this happens is worth a single eyebrow raise and a subtle head scratch.

You mean to say that teams happen to pick up solid goalies off the waiver wire all the time?

Ok, high horse.

The Leafs defeated Montreal and Chicago, both in OT. And lost to Ottawa.
All 3 teams were not projected to make the playoffs. 25/40 PTS with the backup in net is FAR from realistic from what has been on the ice currently.

So far sparks has two of those 25 points, why are you still talking...

You mean hot-takers can't so easily justify going flipping nuts. I get it.

Kadri is so out of sync now.

I could see this as being a problem in the future.

Line the lines, I doubt it lasts. Kadri is playing with 2 new players he has no chemistry with. Leivo hardly even played the last two years and Brown hasn't been all there either. Give them a few more games and see if they work through this. If not, hopefully Babcock finds someone for Kadri to play with because that's 30 goals we're giving away if not.

Obviously happy we won, but we really gotta limit the turnovers in the neutral zone, and tighten our play in the defensive zone. You can't score 7 every night. That said, this team will score a lot this year. We just need to work on breakouts and play without the puck. Obviously that's been the weak point so far over the first 3 games.
