Hope Kadri is next to get things going
That whole line has no chemistry though

Agreed.

13:43 of ice time for Kadri and that includes PP. 0 shots. -2. -5 on the season.

They aren’t putting pucks in or keeping them out.

Overall though, it was a fun game to watch

So Andersen goes down in game 3 of the conference finals and we are left with an NHL rookie goalie in Sparks..it’ll have no effect on our ability to win the cup? Okay then.

Backup goaltending has EVERYTHING to do with a teams ability to win in the playoffs.
You are kind of proving my point here. Like I said, we just won. Our two franchise centers had a hattrick and four points respectively. And here you are, minutes later, ignoring all that so you can complain about how in a nightmare scenario in a future, hypothetical playoff run, our current backup might give us a less chance to win compared to the below average backup we got rid of, based on his performance in his sole game this season?

Lighten up. Enjoy the win. Enjoy Tavares and Matthews. Enjoy the thrill of seven goals on the board, and let's worry about the issues of this team tomorrow, eh?

Mac isn't capable of starting in that spot either.

Andersen is a stretch to make it that far as well. That's why we have a team capable of scoring s touchdown a night.

Downside.. Matthews gets 100+ easy this season and we are on the hook for 15m. Flawed system fails us on multiple levels.

All I can say is this:

If you are bitching about Sparks in this game, you probably don’t enjoy hockey. We aren’t the only team with good players capable of putting pucks in the net. Chicago is loaded with offense as well.

This is likely going down as one of the most exciting games of the year.

Also, on a side note, where are all the Islanders fans that were trolling last night? Snake got him self a hat trick. Won’t you come like this post for Tavares?

Time for a new thread!

I wish. I wasn't allowed to talk about Johnsson after one game, what makes you think I can make a Kadri one after 3 games. All the HFParents will line right up to tell me that it's "too early to talk about __________ (fill in the blank).

My lineup next game:

Hyman - Tavares - Marner
Marleau - Matthews - Kapanen
Johnsson - Kadri - Brown
Leivo - Lindholm -

Rielly - Dermott
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Borgman - Hainsey
Marincin

Andersen

Waive Ennis, bring up Borgman. Run 7D. Borg/Hainsey/Marincin rotate on the bottom pairing.

Can rotate anyone on that 4th line.

That number keeps growing. Will it be 17m by morning?

I honestly don't know how many more Gardiner brain farts I can take. That pass right on the tape of Blackhawks player in 2nd period to create a 2 on 1 and scoring chance was horrific. One of the worst I've ever seen. I'm so done with this guy and wonder when the heck management/babs will realize the liability he is.

That line is rough right now that's for sure. Not exactly sure what you do with it at the moment to fix it.

Ok, high horse.

The Leafs defeated Montreal and Chicago, both in OT. And lost to Ottawa.
All 3 teams were not projected to make the playoffs. 25/40 PTS with the backup in net is FAR from realistic from what has been on the ice currently.

Montreal beat Pittsburgh - bad, and Chicago was 2 - 0 going into tonight. It's game f***ing 3. There is still 79 games to get their shit together.

I'd take Allan Bester over Sparks.

And Bester was a hobbit.

I'd take present-day Palmateer over Sparks right now

No enjoyment here. Looked like a bunch of wild horses just ran on personal missions to pad points for contract purposes at all costs.
No structure no D, just unhinged ebarassing losing hockey that does not belong in the NHL.

We don't know that Matthews will squeeze the team for every penny he can get. McDavid did not.

A couple more bad games from Sparks and I hope they take a flyer on Lehtonen.

Im going with nerves and a few bad bounces on this one.

No excuses from here on out.

And Kappy looked good with Matthews!!
I'm glad you said this, because I've forgotten to mention it a few times already. But if Kappy can play like this with Matthews, not speaking of the points but the overall game he had, it allows us to give Kadri a dynamic winger as well in Nylander. That line needs something, and Brown is the guy that sticks out to me.

You mean the 15m like McDavid got after he scored 108 points? You do remember he starts hot every year, like when he started his career with 4 goals in his first game and didn't manage 70pts.
