Great comeback

Domi in another scoring slump.
Contract doesn’t look good. Rielly is still bad defensively and Reaves is a still a clown on the ice.

That being said . It’s great to see talent players like we have play.
Nylander walking the dog past Hutson was beautiful.

Hab fans will still praise their young rookie even tho he is terrible defensively.
Leaf fans would being running him out of town after his -5 performance
-5s happen even to good players.

Weren't there a couple of pretty good Leafs who had -6 games recently?

Every team overhypes their prospects, but it was nice to see Willy put him in his place.

I somehow left the room right before every single goal was scored :( but what a game. Weird but even when it was 3-0 I felt so confident we were still winning, Habs played like a young team, lots of mistakes defensively. Hutson might be more like Karlsson rather than Makar, train wreck in his own zone.

Re-watching the third and I love Robertson picking on and taking down Hutson early in the period. Nice bit of nastiness from him.

Him and McMann are great depth pieces. They both actually have skill.

Domi just f***s everything up, Max Pac is getting too old, Kampf is a black hole, Reaves/DeWar no comment necessary.

Have to admit I had Robertson as obvious trade bait early in the season... hoping sometime would take a flyer on a young guy with potential that had stagnated. Happy to admit I was wrong. He might still be traded as we have so few pieces to trade, but can' see any other winger in the system that can bring what he has... we'd be weaker on the wings without him for sure.

I thought the reason they resigned Domi was to play with Matthews so Marner can run his own line. Domi struggled last year till he played with Matthews. I would like to to see him back with Matthews.

Knies Matthews Domi
McCann Tavares Marner
Patches Holmberg Nylander
Lorentz Kampf Dewar

If they were willing to use nylander as center then they could go patches nylander robertson as a sheltered offensive third line.

McMann Tavares Marner
Patches < new centre > Nylander
Lorentz Dewar Holmberg/Jarnkrok

Kampf fired into the sun.

I love Robertson period. He's improved game sense wise. He's coherent as a player now. With that shot, he should be a pretty good 3rd liner.

I love a good comeback story.
Yeah I'm definitely hoping they keep him, he's been providing some much needed depth scoring

If Domi doesn’t have trade protection I would not be surprised if he’s included in a trade to acquire someone.

Is Berube letting the horses out of the barn a little bit ? He’ll never speak to that publicly but even he has to realize they’ve got better defense and goaltending this year but he can’t have their forwards with offensive skills just play dump and chase. Even Holmberg was getting creative with the puck on an end to end rush. Way more entertaining hockey the last couple of games.

Regarding Xhekaj vs Reaves. Reaves used to fight NHL heavyweights. Sure hes older now, but I think it would be a good tilt, and id lean Reaves. Xhekaj seems to throw alot at first and then go for take downs. When he went toe to toe wjth Olivier in Nov, he lost handedly. I think Xhekaj caught some guys by surprise early because he was unknown but players are more prepared for him now. I could be wrong though, just watched some of his fights and dont watch him otherwise.

The flow of event last night was something LMAO
