The last time I was at a Leafs game when they came back from a multi-goal deficit.

Most likely but we need to see it played out. I thought it was game set and match after the first, but they defied the odds. The Habs wanted that game more than the Leafs last night and for them not to be able to stop the Leafs was what made it so impressive to me.

For those that say this team needs luck, they sure as hell got some last night or they would have had to play some OT.

They have done this so many times before though. Play for 20-25 minutes and do they massive come backs. Like, it is almost part of their identity.

I even posted on the main boards GDT when Habs fans were trolling I wouldn't be shocked the Leafs came back but their habits are that of frauds not contenders

I guess I understand given the opponent, but I don't think any Leafs fans should be happy about last night's game. It was garbage hockey from start to finish.

lol what a game!! had a friend over, drank much IPA beer, ready to watch some music blu-rays after one period, but we persevered and were rewarded.
Have to get Domi out of the centre position. Maybe we need two centres????? Dump Holmberg and Kampf.

Great comeback

Domi in another scoring slump.
Contract doesn’t look good. Rielly is still bad defensively and Reaves is a still a clown on the ice.

That being said . It’s great to see talent players like we have play.
Nylander walking the dog past Hutson was beautiful.

Hab fans will still praise their young rookie even tho he is terrible defensively.
Leaf fans would being running him out of town after his -5 performance

i love 'fans' who blame everyone under the sun when the team is down, then disappear when they mount a comeback, so they can keep their tail between their legs ready to pounce with i told you so's when they lose in the playoffs.

sit back, enjoy it.
i watched the football on another screen last night, Lions were a rocket ship, one playoff game and done.
Only 1 of 32 wins.

I firmly believe Mitch and Matthews are not winners, but leafs are my team, so let's go, last night was great theatre, watch the full highlight pack on youtube with the Bonzie audio feed, brings a tear to your eye!

Woll should have been 1st, 2nd and 3rd star - channelling full Cujo mode last night.

Whats that 7-3 in L10. What a roller coaster ride though. But They're right there with the tops: Habs ,Jackets and Wings? What parity now.

I think the reactions aren’t wrong even though the results ended in the leafs favor.
Exactly, that 1st period was atrocious by our Leafs. The entire team looked like they were lottery worthy.

Once McMann and Roberts scored in the 2nd period, our core players woke up and realized that they couldn't be out shone by their peon teammates.

Matthews, Marner, and especially Nylander, need to show up like this EVERY SINGLE GAME. They need to prove on a consistent basis that their outrageous salaries are warranted. They need to be able to play Berube hockey and still show up big time on the scoreboard.

Rielly was still a defensive problem in this game!

JMHO.

Going back and looking at their game thread is pure comedy gold. In the first period they were soooo cocky... "Laine is a god", "suckit leafs hahahaha!". One guy even said "we're winning the cup this year I'm telling you!". Seeing the mood slowly change was just priceless... quickly turned to "send Monty to the minors" and "you knew the refs were gonna give this one back to the Leafs" lol. Jackeye turtling and Hutson -5 is the sugar on top. Thanks boys it wasn't pretty at all but was as good a 2 points as there is at this point in the season.

Gotta give the boys some credit. They woke up big time after we were absolutely skewering them after 1 period lol. I wonder if something was said during the 1st intermission.

You didn't enjoy the game wow maybe you should stop watching hockey
I'm not sure I "enjoy" any game in January, but only because I know how meaningless it is. The reason so many Leafs fans get a bad rap is because they circle-jerk themselves over a 7-3 win against Montreal in January. I watched that game last night, and I saw the Leafs give up way too many chances to a very mediocre hockey team. I suspect they will be a lot better against Tampa on Monday, but I'm not sure people should be overly thrilled with what they watched last night (and I'm the guy who said the Leafs were going to win when they were losing 3-0).

Not sure you're in the best position to coach others out of getting a bad rap there champ

Nah, you never see me getting excited about the Leafs beating mediocre teams. Like any good team, I expect them to beat the bad teams, and they almost always do. But I don't like seeing them give up that many offensive chances against a bad team.
