Maybe they just need to delete Reaves and can get back to being more of their usual selves. Robertson was strong and buzzing in a good way and Knies looks like Matthews Jr.

Knies looked great and fit in well.

Robertson was great and looked to play a smarter game, with less tunnel vision and less recklessness in the corners.

Domi as a C looked way more engaged.

Not sure Jarnkrok was better but the results were and he is available for the odd double shift instead of Reaves now in the defensive zone which is nice.

Holmberg on the Gregor/Kampf line would be awesome, it adds a stable defensive line with some offensive upside.

Defensively maybe Klingberg will be better suited for a 5/6 role when everyone is back.

Tampa should have iced this one, we got lucky. Hopefully, the team is going to use this as a stepping stone.

*For me, Robertson had his best game as a Leaf. He looked much more composed. I counted 3 times where the Dman on his side pinched in and NR read correctly and dropped back to cover. His skating looks improved, as does his strength. He had a couple of hits, and his confidence to control the puck and use his team mates was better - less tunnel vision. You'd love to see him control that puck off the boards for Tampa's late tying goal, but overall, an effective game. I hope he can use this game as a springboard to staying up with the team.
