Good for Murray to get a W.

The third line is on fire right now.

Good game by Nylander even if he is turning into an ENG suck and blowing the zone early.

Didn't like seeing Matthews get beat on. Something is obviously still wrong with him and it can't help getting hit and cross checked.
Bizarre - Patches, JT and Willy all 'blew the zone early' in the last minute or so and Willy at least crossed centre and hit the net, but he's the only one a couple of posters criticize.

Won a game game they should. Good.

Not really much to complain about. Murray might wantt one back, but hell, good enough, he was ok and welcome back, well deserved.

Obvious third line is third line. Honest, had given up on Robertson, but I'd be really happy to keep being wrong. Cooking.

Murray wasn't great, but maybe give him a mulligan for rust.

Personally I think McMann is the biggest reason the third line is producing. Underrated.

Willy with the three-point night with two great passes (and a goal the pull him into a tie for 3rd overall).

Damn refs making all the calls against us as usual?

Good on Mo for standing up for Matty. Hope OEL's balls aren't too swollen (been there, done that, threw up on the t-shirt).

He’s become (always been) the go-to guy to criticise for Marner-apologists since they need someone to compare him to. Thing is, ones been paid 4 mil less than the other, who also outperforms the other in the playoffs and scores waaay more goals.

Third line great again. Love the speed and the forecheck.

McCabe was an absolute beast. His game has matured.

Nylander had some jump.

Our defence blocks a lot of shots.

Murray was ok in net, didn’t like the first goal.

Tanev is a warrior.

I knew Rielly and Timmins wouldn’t work. Rielly on the ice for 2 goals against.

Overall I was pleased. I thought we dominated. And yet, they again made it interesting in the third. Still in first but Florida won again keeping pace.

Yeah it appears they are a very good regular season team, too bad they never show up in the playoffs. Well they may win a game but seem to not be able to kick up the intensity.
of course, it would be nice if our main goaltender and stars were healthy, may help in the playoffs.
Last year Treliving set up the leafs so in the key game after a predictable injury to Woll we had Samsonov in net.
Criminally stupid.

Leafs lineup the last time Murray started a game for them.

This is a brutal lineup.
The funny thing to me is Timmins in that lineup. They played him so little before this year that I forgot he's been here that long already.

He's been pretty good this year. I'm glad he's carving a role out for himself.

Regardless of what you think of him... it's like Murray too. You just love to see the guys that have been trying forever to finally get there shot after so long. Yes Murray has won cups ... of course... but it's a nice come back story to see.

Keefe couldn't work with or develop a Dman if he tried. Notice people start reaching potential with a good coach. Think about that next time we draft a Lilgrin who really IMHO just needed properly developed.

I think for Murray it was such a long journey back and clearly an emotional return to the NHL that he can be excused for having some nerves and therefore not an overall great performance.

It is great that the third line is going. Having three lines capable of scoring goals keeps the other team on their toes.

They need to tidy some things up though. They seem to give up as much as they get.
