Giving up 2 PP goals is never acceptable but overall dominant performance.

Don't think too many were crying. It was kind of weird that it happened, especially so early in the game. Didn't see any reason to do it but whatever. Win is a win.

Refs were okay.

Thought the Matthews penalty was weak, and then they let the Sabres do a similar hit on the PP resulting in a goal.

Nylander's 2nd. penalty could almost have been called holding the stick against the Sabre.

Yeah, and that's fine. Neither team shot themselves in the foot and the bounces didn't quite spring anybody. It can happen, especially in a short period, but not when the Leafs are involved.

Anyway, not trying to take away from today's win, but got transferred over when the game ended.

Kerfoot has had hands of stone this season but five goals isn't much of a rout. Easy to get zero points.

Murray saved this game for us with some really solid saves in the third. If second half Campbell was in net tonight we lose this game 6-5.

Solid performance from our third and fourth lines tonight. Nylander showing he shouldn’t be the one traded if one of the four must go. Tavares leading the way again with a goal and two assists. Defence played well.

Another subpar game by Kerfoot as the 2LW. Bunting shouldn’t be the trigger man as much as he was tonight. His job is to get the puck to Matthews, not the other way around.
