Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 4-3 (SO)

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
Just maybe getting matthews mcmann and nylander for the full playoffs as opposed to a couple games as well as a more stable blue line and better goalies in net is what we’re hanging our hat on
There's always some reason to believe, no harm in that at all. I just can't ignore the years and years of evidence slapping me in the face with reality.

again its not about defensive play he missed or did well by exemple colorado 1st goal was a result of nylander missed a play, i didn't talked about those kind of play. it's about stop playing/ stop working

Exavtly when you're playing NHL in console and your controller turn off, that's what i have difficulty to accept... Not the fact he missed a play but hes completly stop playing after 10 second on the ice.
Sorry, I don't play video games - I play real hockey.

Really? Cause the broadcast seemed to think it was knies lazy line change that caused the goal but maybe you got a better look at it
The general consensus was that it was a poor line change, not just by Knies, but I haven't seen anyone else try to blame Willy.

Like been a ghost for 30 be down 3-0 ans started to play there and finishing with1-2 goal in a 7-3 lost?

Or been completly invisible/trash all game long and see him teammate/goalie doing everything they could to keep the game at only one goal difference and find a way to score on last 2 minute with goalie pulled...

or start played down 4-1, starting to play down by 3 nd finishing the gme with 3 pts

next game ironically get maybe one of his best game of series and get 0 pts... Next game be completly invisible all game long, left his player in the slot for no reason and that's the only time we saw him for the entire game...

I just described here the only series won by leafs in 20 years..

Whatever what the stats saying, you will not win a lot of game when you started working late trailing by 2-3 goal everytime or late like by 2 game in a serie. When you're just focusing on stats and not in wich kind of impact the player had to the game, that's say absolutly nothing.

stats, stats, stats... its the only thing important for you...

Imagine a complete team playing that way
I don't know if it's your memory, your imagination, or your bias that is creating these odd views. Did you really have to go back almost two years to find an example that fit your narrative?

Yup. I've always kept an eye on goal differential, used to calculate it in my head as far back as 50 years ago. And that's why I said a few months ago to watch out for TB when others were writing them off.

The more I think about it, the less reason I see for Leaf fans to be optimistic about the playoffs. I thought maybe the TDL moves would motivate some people but so far ... same old, same old.

What a disaster this core has been. Hoping they can surprise me in the playoffs, doesn't seem likely though.
there actually is some hope, the core may come alive, and we have goaltending for the first time in forever.
