Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 4-3 against Rangers

Bad news is Florida won.

Good news is it was an OT win which means the Leafs are only 1 regulation win back of Florida.

If they can get the Regulation wins tied, I believe the next tie breaker is Regulation + overtime wins and the Leafs have that 41 to 38.

Given that Florida has a Saturday and Sunday back to back coming up and then is off until the 28th.

And The Leafs schedule is Nashville, Philadelphia, SJ, LA and Anaheim. The opportunity is there to take advantage of Florida break in the schedule and take over the division.

That was a solid road win especially with 3 games in 4 nights. Brilliant move by Berube not playing Tavares too much last night he definitely had his legs tonight. McMann came up huge. And McCabe AGAIN! This dude is unreal. 3 points, great defensively, great reads. Him and Tanev have been beasts this season

There are no easy wins, but I think it’s fair to say we should expect ~8 points from these 5 upcoming games.

McCabe and Tanev have been the best legit top pairing we've had in recent memory. Fingers crossed that they can both stay healthy going into the playoffs. They're crucial to our success.

The Leafs' schedule is laughable. They won't have any trouble staying ahead of Florida and Tampa.

Domi played like 10 mins. We still have a bottom six issue.
Nylander line was very good but we need more from our bottom six

Rielly is bad and another minus game

They didn't really need the 3rd line playing big minutes because the 2nd line was going, they deserved those minutes more and the 4th line is better suited to defending a lead

The 3rd line was great the other night and we seem to be using them situationally which is a decent way of deploying the guys

The problem with that third line is that you won't be able to trust it in a close playoff game given their defensive weaknesses.
