If you watch Vancouver this year the Leafs continue to play defense first then it is Schenn who they need.

Still slow but not as big of a deal.

2nd in NHL in hits, has put up 8 points and is somehow a +8 on a team that is struggling.

He has really rejuvinated himself. Plus he makes under 1 million.
ye im down to try a schenn reunion, wouldnt cost much either i would assume.

Sad that I missed this

Gonna watch the highlights but damn the stat line looks solid all arlund

AM34 3 points
Mitch looks back to elite
Nylander continues his play
Kallgren was actually statistically great

Leafs outshot them 41-25

Stats wise this seemed like a great game, and a very good B2B

If Rielly needs to take an extra, oh I dunno, 4 months for his recovery to make sure everything's fully healed, who are we to rush him back? Sometime around April just to be completely sure he's good to go.
And if somehow a certain patty Kane or tarasenko became available for reasonable assets, maybe we could…you know….load up on another top line winger

Just a thought:sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm:

I see a future top-pairing defenceman in Liljegren, and a future second-pairing at best in Sandin.

It's even possible that Liljegren could become the true #1 that the Leafs haven't had since . . . Salming?

We're not there yet, and maybe will ever get there, but I don't see that potential in Sandin. Liljegren really stands out.

Maybe they are.

Sandin a year younger?

Teams on a great run in November.
Let's keep the momentum going.

Offense still doesn't loom right. Hopefully it starts to come around

Pretty excited to see Conor Timmins get some game action here. It’s the perfect situation any guy in his position could ask for. The entire team is stepping up and committing to playing a complete game. So much so that we barely noticed Mac Hollowell. Has to be so much easier to come into that environment and find your game.

It's more than just age.

Sandin brings to mind Gary Leeman, a defenceman turned forward. I sometimes wonder if Sandin would do better on left wing than left defence.

I never enjoy watching him try to recover when he gives up the puck at the point. It's almost always a disaster because he's too small and too slow to track down a bigger, faster forward.

Liljegren, on the other hand, is bigger, faster and a better overall defenceman

They are starting to play better hockey, regardless of the wins.

Perhaps it is with Rielly being out they are all playing more responsible hockey?

Don't know, just is starting to look better.

Four Leafs in the top 20 in scoring right now.

Lol at fans thinking we are better without rielly, it’s been 3 games…I guess Brodie is crap too then, 4-0-2 without him. Should deal him too

We lose in the playoffs because we can’t score, Rielly helps do just that

Hes not worth the D he gives up....

Use Reilly as trade bait.

For all the crap he's taken, Keefe has done something I didn't think he'd be able to do; he's got the boys locked into playing a sound defensive game.

Holmberg is proving himself. If he can stick around and offer 12 min a night, that would be crazy good.
Defence first. Maybe they did learn something in those playoff losses.

I had to watch in spurts again last night, but from what I caught, Marner was fantastic again.
