Our PK is up to 10th in the league. The PP 31st, and we know that won’t last.
Yep, they’ll be 32nd after the weekend.

It looked good last night. Both units had great looks and I noticed they didn’t do the drop pass.

They really aged, well at least one of the pests is gone. They can rot there for a long time now.
Before they have a funeral they’ll hire Q and turn it around…..

I agree that Boston will make a coaching change, but I'm not sure it will make that much of a difference. They are a pretty plodding team at this point, and they added a couple of terrible contracts this past off-season that they won't be able to unload.

Seattle is a much better team than I thought. Fun game to watch, you didn't see one side mistake prone. I wish more games were like the one we watch last night, not just because we won but there was no douchbaggery, with player diving, there was no crappy calls by the refs. Both teams gave a great honest effort, the goaltending was decent on both sides, just a really entertaining game to watch IMO.

In between stints on the IR, Woll is one helluva goalie. Rielly is continuing to make great offensive plays once again, assist on the 2nd goal was such a beauty.

On Nylanders second goal, what did the 'shhhh' thing he did symbolize?

Tavares might not be a 11M dominant forward anymore... but I'll never understand why people just can't appreciate how hard working & productive he is at his stage of his career and through is tenure here. He's at 11 points in 10 games and 61% on faceoffs this season so far, among many other very good positive stats.

Some people seem to like Ryan Reaves more than John Tavares, which is really weird.
80% of our fans have no idea. They look at the score, and goals and assists.

They don’t understand how thin the W/L margins are.

They don’t understand what a Centre does in the DZone.

They could not tell you what kind of D we play, man vs. zone concepts.

Tavares is fine. I hope he is resigned next year at a contract in line with his current cap value.

It's great when the forward lines are clicking. If the core4 are all playing well at the same time, then the team can almost score at will. You should win most games when you can score 4 goals or more.

He still has value, when he looks bad, he looks tired, overmatched and listless. Understandable that some fans read his body language and judge. Still an elite FO guy, still effective along the boards, still effective in front of the net. Slow as concrete running up hill.

This is Canada. Where Don Cherry was once practically an idol and national icon and his Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Hockey series was one of the most bought (and played, and played while drunk) VCR tapes in Canadian history.

Short version: Reaves punches people in the face and hits everything that moves. We like that.

And the part about his cap hit severely affected the ability for the Leafs to build a contender around their young stars, but you know all that already. Plus the "C" added more accountability for this team's failures.
