I like it when the Leafs win.

I like it more when they play like this.

Some negatives we could nibble at, but they clearly had no impact on the result, so what would be the point?

Liked the effort from the defence... I would even say Brodie struggled the most with the puck.

BOL'SHOY effort from Sammy (with some help from his friends).

Busy stretch coming up now to the Xmas break with 7 games in 13 nights, with one back-to-back. Would be nice to keep this run going into the break!

Really? I should take people's comments on Samsonov's save percentage or the team's "seriousness" as a reflection of their intelligence? I sure hope not. Emotional reactions, which is really all this is, are not a reflection of intelligence. Fans are scarred from being disappointed, so they react with negativity because it's a more comforting emotion than optimism. It's not rocket science. It's the reason why people don't want to mention the word "shutout" when the other team hasn't scored yet, or why people do the same things they did the last time the team won. It's all just defense mechanisms designed to avoid the feeling of disappointment. We all do it in way or another.
You may have missed the point, or I wasn't making my point as clear as I could/should have. I am saying that people who post constant negativity are the ones who think they are smarter than the ones who post both positive and negative.

Great game. I’m not sure best game of the year, depending on how you measure it, the two Boston games were both great despite losing them. Perhaps best defensive effort of the year.

Didn’t think Sammy was great.. Woll, he was great last game, but Sammy was good. Stopped everything he should stop, no 10 bellers or anything and a couple posts but good NHL level ‘tending and that’s what you ask.

Credit to the D depth I didn’t think existed. The Marlie boys have exceeded ecxpectations, admirable. Happy to be wrong so far. Timmins in particular settling in, just like Lily and Sandin, just need the reps.

Gregory is a revelation , Reaves is still an anchor. Someone else has to take that wing spot.

Someone else said it, I am not sure how you quietly lead the league in goals but AM is doing it. Wait’ll he goes on another heater.

I dunno boys, it’s been weird. I guess the last three feel like they are starting to play right, even if the Ottawa game wasn’t great, just like they are winning games better because they should? If that makes sense?

Lots of games coming at us quick here, GLG.

He hasn’t been amazing this year - his timing hasn’t been perfect but yes.

He is the single most talented player to ever wear the sweater.

Not gonna argue. His complete game while not even seeming like his best right now is high level. The little things he does are remarkable. The hands.. battling one on one, might be unmatched, he is so quick. He wins so many 1v1 battles. McD is unmatched with a bit of time and space but AM shift to shift is just a pleasure to watch too.

Best game of the year and 5 pages? Really?

It was easily the best effort and game played by our Leafs this year. It’s great that they’ve finally showed up and put in a good effort. Now, can they please just play hard on a regular basis… we’ve all seen that they CAN play that way, when they choose to.

But yes, full Kudos to the team for a complete effort, for Samsonov getting the shut out, the team for playing a mostly solid defensive game as well. Some physicality tonight too. Great hit by McCabe.
