Definitely better than the last two games. Controlled most of the play, heavily outshot the Senators, etc.

However, I'm not celebrating yet, as I think we should still be expecting more, and we will need to see more to be a serious contender, even in a relatively weak division. Gotta up the killer instinct and put games like this away.

Hopefully only up from here as the team settles in.

That being said, it's nice to see a Leafs goaltender making some high difficulty saves.

Definitely a better effort. Ottawa will be an annoying team this year, they play hard and clog the slot defensively. They don’t create much offense or even opportunities but it’ll be hard to score on them.

Doubled them in shots and the team D looked way better in front of a stable goalie, especially Brodie with a big bounce back performance. Played a man down most of the game on a B2B with Robertson out, too.

I’d roll with Campbell in to Winnipeg.
