Marner had an alright game but one of those assist was secondary

Marner again leafs best player tonight and everything started with him

Found this one to be difficult to enjoy. Uninspired play until the 3rd, and then a let down after being up by two. The last two Ws haven't been great hockey, but it goes to show how important good goaltending is. Congrats Joseph Woll.

Berube and I see the game differently? I thought Minten was looking a bit gassed after the 2nd, was the game catching up with him? So Coach throws him to LW, certainly not the move I expected

Though there was no reason for nonsense tonight, I just can't figure out Ryan Reaves playing. Tomorrow against Wilson and Washington, maybe, but I'd really like him to show something.

He took it from the faceoff circle out to the point brought it back to the faceoff circle on the other side, passed to knies who immediately directed it to William. Seems like he did most of the work on that goal
