That was Steady Freddy; he was tracking pucks well and wasn't flopping but he needs to keep it going.
The big four all shone; Matthews is dangerous every time he has the puck even if he isn't scoring and his backchecking is inspiring, JT is solid if unspectacular but when it's going his way watch out, Marner was buzzing, nifty but not trying to be cute and Willy played hard but looked to be calibrated off a few tics but still you love the effort.
Hyman's puck tenacity makes you cry. I'm liking that Kerfoot-Mikheyev-Hyman line.
I'll take Spezza at 1 a year in perpetuity until he's in a wheelchair.
The D overall looked good, but individually it's a different story. Rielly was his usual godly self, but Muzzin was less than stellar. Holl, Brodie and Dermott looked good, but Bogosian needs careful management and Lehtonen had a shaky debut.
On the jets end, man that D is ugly, Morrissey is a fine #2 and Pionk is a good #4 but damn, they used to have Buff and Trouba.
Helle was the best player on either team and it wasn't even close.
Ehlers was invisible, and I heard Schiefele and Wheeler's names a lot but they didn't really do anything noteworthy. Kyle Connor was by far their best forward.
I don't know if the refs don't know this, but they can call penalties on the team that isn't the Leafs, too.
One of the only good things about 2020 was no Marvel bullshit came out. Wandavision looks stupid, won't be watching.
