Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 3-1 - Marner extends the streak to 18

For a pretty boring ass game. That's a nice win to get and Marner ties the point streak record.

Engvall and Kerfoot though lol. Chirp them all game and they do that. Ah well credit for that one at least.

Keep it going. Nice to get a w before OT too.

Tampa on Saturday. Should be a good one. Cheers. Go Leafs Go.

San Jose looked fast tonight TBH they were getting a lot of sticks/things in the lane

Kerfoot deserved the flack he's gotten but he has to have credit for just getting a puck on the net for the rebound that let to the winner ... Actually that whole line on that sequence was good, including Hollowell who made a good pinch earlier in the play.

We really haven't been playing that good, for the whole year really, and yet here we are with five wins in a row and 4th overall in the standings.

Defence has been holding up thus far (hope this gives Keefe confidence in Lil + Sandin once Rielly and Brodie returns), goaltending has been unbelievable, and Marner is having the best streak of his career (and Leafs history).

Even the struggling third line showed up tonight, with the Giraffe getting the game winner.

All in all...

Bit of a strange game... kinda wide open, but not wide open?! I guess it was free flow in the neutral zone, but not so much in the offensive zones.

No complaints about anyone from our team tonight really; the guys that generally suck, sucked, and the guys who are good were good. Both goalies were very good, but pretty bad rebound by Dell on the game winner.

I kind of expected SBA to implode with Samsonov & Murray in the lineup at the same time.
 
Does Mitch get his EN goal without Engvall scoring? Taking the lead was key to setting up Mitch to tie the record.

Congrats to Mitch Marner!!!

CONGRATS MARNER - Best leaf for a while now.

Hollowell looks good. Robertson has potential. I'm down to see him up a bit more.

Engvall has been a bit better as of late. I was gonna cuss about Kerfoot, but his final play made the goal so be it lol

Samsanov is a good goalie! The Sharks arent a joke on the D transition.

The defence should come with experience. Surprisingly though he's shown he can handle sheltered 3rd pair mins. Honestly he's been better than Mete IMO
