We have a nice enough point gap that I wouldn't mind seeing a game or two of:
Kerfoot - Matthews - Nylander
Thornton -Tavares - Marner
Hyman - Engvall - Mikheyev
Marner really hasn't lost a step playing with Tavares versus Matthews. If it's the same for Matthews when he comes back, we might actually be able to get both top two lines going. The third line is honestly insane right now so idk if you touch it.
Also, Marner has 100P in his last 82 games. I was wrong about him. He really is something special.

I think that Thornton-Matthews-Marner line is a keeper. Thornton is an absolute possession monster and takes a lot of attention from the other team when he has the puck in the offensive zone which makes a bunch of space for the other two guys to get to dangerous places.
I guess I don't have any issue with trying stuff, but I don't see how we don't end up back there

Sabourin isn't even a good fighter, (I think he beat up Domi once...not THAT Domi) otherwise I would put him in.

I think marner with tavares isnt as dangerous and mitch isnt as good BUT I think we need two seperate lines going somewhat good then one dominate line and one mediocre.
I also believe that hyman is not a third line player. When matty is back, he is playing 23 mins a night which then has mitch line playing around 18-20 mins a night......hyman deserves more than 10-13 mins.

Third line was amazing last night.
Hyman was our best player.
Mikheyev continuing to make plays with his speed and Engvall had another strong game playing C.
If Engvall can play center fulltime, those three players have the potential to form a great energy third line.

Soup and Engvall seem to have some good chemistry, and Hyman is a great glue guy that just makes every line click.
If they can find a sustainable LWer to make the Tavares line go, I like the idea of keeping that third line in tact if they're playing like that.

I more so meant in the original scrum around Hutch. I didn't see much of the cross check incident at the end of the game where Vesey was then seemingly more "ready to go" as you said

Ok, I get we just played a hard fought game, I get they were probably tired, I get we had a great shutout, I get we're all in love with Willy and Engvall again, but those 2 (along with a lot of the Team), just skated by watching Vesey get literally crosschecked in the head like they were watching a dog on a walk. Only Spezza, Tavares and Rielly skated over to see what was going on.

The media doesnt need to see the paper lines. But AM can slide in nicely behind the Tavares line with Kerfoot-Nylander..all while continuing to establish that 100% effort (H.E.M) 3rd line.

I never played pro , but I was part of a team that I’m most proud of for 4 years and our motto that we lived and breathed for was no matter where what when how or who was in a fracas at anytime the rest of the team came in hard and tough as a team on the ice and then afterwards , always , every time , no matter the circumstances and man that felt great and we were the tightest I’ve ever experienced in my life and so successful
It brings teams together and adds success and strength ...
