This team has a clear identity. At least to us fans.

Win low scoring games.

They are built for that, for the most part.

That is why the Maple Leafs are a weird organization. I do not think this was the Dubas plan.

This could be the Shanahan plan, finally.

Really, this Toronto team kind of like those Detroit teams that Shanahan won his cups. Fast skating, good defense, adequate goaltending, and star power on a couple of forward lines.

That was a tough game to play in. As much as more goals would have been nice (and deserved), it was great to see them stay strong all evening and not give up some cheeseball goal. Very impressive.

If the Leafs can play like this consistently, and cut down on those bad pinches, which the coach should tell the defense to do less of that, then this looks like a real team for the playoffs. Better than the ones Babcock had.

Great win. But Holl/Muzzin cannot continue. They're the living embodiment of a great Hip lyric:

Only in this case, only Holl is lonely. Muzz, however, is nothing but better.

After a while, it is all a blur.

We can only watch and comment on the team in front of us on the TV, and this team is good.

This current team is far better than the one last year.

Hey, I can respect that opinion but what is maddening is "fans" coming in after wins and really making things toxic in here. We all want the team to win in the playoffs but if some posters only contributions is to spam about losing in the past, I really dont respect what they have to say. They literally add nothing to the forum with their rage and 80 IQ takes. I'm certainly not saying thats you but there are more than a few characters around here that are so invested in a losing narrative they've become total losers themselves.
